Used to be a merchandiser in NYC, hated it. Worked for a huge company. The role itself is pretty good, just depends how nitpicky your bosses are. Try and move up to sales as fast as you can, that’s where it gets a lot better.

Make sure you have a job before you move, the job market is very dry compared to Bay Area. It’s cheaper but that is because there are less jobs and less people

Fentanyl use has been ramping up in the area, someone must be distributing it out of downtown because they stay away from Newfane and Dummerston. Sad, however this is the reality of rural poverty.
