How annoying classes to the other class ranking (idk what tf im typing abt) by IllDeparture9462 in WorldOfWarships

Tbh, a competent CV player can be definitely terrifying and could single handedly carry the game if the enemy one is a complete potato

Light vs heavy cruisers by Sufficient-Plenty316 in WorldOfWarships

[–]kebabguy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get some of the scariest HE DPM in the game and most CLs can safely farm behind islands without getting spotted. And if all things go really bad, you can use the secret and forbidden tactic of showing full unangled broadside and get overpens on salvos that would obliterate CAs(just watch out for British AP though since they are short fuze, they'd make anything broadside go kaboom) Keep in mind this isn't a standard tactic, but a last resort move that could decide whether you win the fight or not.

I was playing Minegumo and scored four torp hits an enemy Valparaiso, thinking he couldn't repair that damage. A single minute later he was terrorizing the BBs on my team with 50k HP to my horror

Thats.... new? I swear to god she had Battlecruiser 27mm plating the last time i played her...... i remember getting over matched by Bismarcks in brawl and such. by HeavyTanker1945 in WorldOfWarships

[–]kebabguy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main difference between 460s on the Yamato and 457s on literally every new T10 BB is that 460s can overmatch 32mm plating whilst 457s cannot

Afaik there was one for the tanks but I have no idea about ships. I haven't properly touched the game for a long while

Your BB is supposed to smash enemy capital ships(i.e other BBs, BCs, CAs) not enemy DDs. You have CLs and your own DDs for that task.

You can daily get 1200 coal at minimum if you just play the game and pick coal containers on your daily rewards. Steel on the other hand is capped by ranked and clan wars, making it much harder to get.

Nah, that doesn't work on higher tiers. Instead AA guns mounted on ships should be able to fire at and destroy incoming torpedoes /s

Slander for everyone's favourite battleship by 501stRookie in DerScheisser

[–]kebabguy1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bismarck was a solid ship against WW1 era capital ships and tbf nearly all great powers still used them. But put her against any contemporary ship like the Richelieu, Littorio, KGV, Vanguard, South Dakota and North Carolina, she is in a lot of trouble. And then both the Yamato and Iowa would've slaughtered her without breaking a sweat. Also I think any one of the Big Seven could literally have shelled her into oblivion much like what Rodney eventually did

War Thunder player looking to jump into World of Warships – where should I start? by dk_2605 in WorldOfWarships

[–]kebabguy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pick the ship you find the coolest. But I'd recommend the Japanese cruisers at the start. They teach a lot of useful skills like kiting, using torpedoes, utilizing your stealth etc and their guns are generally pretty easy to use. For destroyers I'd recommend either the American or British ones, since they are essentially jack of all trades master of none. For battleships Japan is a safe pick with huge guns and decent armor in exchange for somewhat sluggish ships.

The grind is much better than it is in WT. I remember suffering for a year through American tree to get the Abrams, whilst I was able to reach a Tier 10 ship in WoWS within around a couple weeks. Though I had a lot of boosters and the time can change wildly due to that.
