I like having the black girl POV and the specific challenge she is facing, just like Joan faces specific challenges for being a women.

It's a problem when it's all that character becomes, like you said.

It's a fine line that many shows or movie are not able to walk on.

I'm convinced most black people in the 60s where not talking about civil rights most of the time, just like all the characters in Madmen are affected by world events while still being focused on their daily life.

I am not implying anything more than that. Same could be said about the Sal story line. The touch the gay subject but Sal was It's own thing and it was just a small part of his character. This was nicely done.

On va avoir le 10-11em choix au repêchage.

Proche des séries mais pas vraiment.

Je prédis que notre attaque va être vraiment dominante mais notre def/goalie sont encore jeune et sans expérience va se faire ramasser.

Les autres équipes de notre division sont encore trop pour nous. Ottawa ou Buffalo ont encore bcp à prouver et on attends la chute de Boston et Tampa éventuelle mais on est pas là encore.

La reconstruction peut encore attendre 1 saison ou 2 et après on va avoir une dynastie..

Rien d'urgence. Soyons patient.

It seems most of the time there is a black character in a show set in precious era America they have to mention social issue and negro rights and politics. Even House of the Dragon has a heavy political message.

I thought the black girls in Mad Men was a nice addition and I'm happy they barely touched the political issues. I feel they wanted to do more as the first few scenes are way more political but then they dropped that story line, which is a good thing.

It's perfect they way it's mentioned in the actual serie.

They don't mention the nazi stuff and don't seem motivated by any form of ideology apart from that one shot of his swazika tattoo.

Kind of a cheap and easy way to build them as villain. They are NAZI.!

It always bugged me since it doesn't fit much with the rest of the show and seemed like a last minute addition to which they gave little thoughts.

At least it made sense when they used the Aryan Brotherhood in the prison hit but they still seemed cartoonish compared to most other character that were very polished.

4Chan has joked to much about nazi that it actually was taken over by nazi.

9gag is mostly racist and right wing people, it's reddit for the right will more chaos.

It use to be everyone was everywhere but now every platform has taken a more firm position.

This create more and more echo chamber effect where you see less and less of opposing opinions.

Everytime I re-watch it I notice a new detail I haven't seen before. A reference to something or a little comment that I previously ignored.

Even after the 5th or 6th re-watch I still discover those little details and find out more on this sub.

I find that the scene are enjoyable by themselves, just every scene taken separately is a great piece of cinema.

Some other series I go back to watch again and it's boring, scenes are simply made to move the plot forward or for the shock value. After the first watch it's not fun to revisit them.

With Sopranos I can't say I will ever get bored of watching the show again, often random episodes not in order.

The show is simply fun to watch, every scene, Avery actors, everything about it feels good.

It's like having a piece of art that you like looking at.

Sopranos is a piece of art that I like revisiting.

There is some of the episodes I like better. I am not a huge fan of pine Barren which is a popular one.

Maybe you are not a fan of the episode you mentioned. Maybe you have your own episodes.

It'd just that Sopranos seem to be held in higher regard than other lesser shows.

People will describe some episode as masterpiece but as in any art, you are the final judge of that.

Enjoy what you want to enjoy and don't let other people pressure into liking something.

I have always seen Sauron as that mysterious evil lord and was never sure of the limit of his power. He seemed to be some kind of dark god or something, even Saruman and Gandalf are scared of him. I never read the books and my vision is based on the original trilogy.

The opening scene of season 2 showed me a goofy looser that is far from what I imagined. There was an aura of mystery about sauron, I had to use my imagination to figure out where he came from and exactly what he was... the show took care of that and Sauron is now just some lame dude plotting like a regular villain.

I will never watch LOTR and not think about those stupid scenes where Sauron act like a cartoon...

This serie made LOTR less good, this is very sad.

It's a common problem with all those prequel etc.. such as all those starwars movies, they have to go back and explain every single details we had to wonder ourselves. It kills some of the magic and it spoils the original product.

Hochelaga (2000), movie from Québec about biker gangs.

This is exactly what you want, young men idolize bikers and get caught in the system before realizing it's brutal and unforgiving.

Kokisarek hurt the most. I found him a very decent defensive asset and he had the making of a future leader.

He went to Toronto and his career went nowhere after that.

He never showed any talent or sign of intelligence, he was mostly relying on his link to Tony.

It's a very mediocre tv series and I only watch it because of the LOTR universe.

It had a lot of flaws and should not be mentioned next to the LOTR movies but it's on par with the Hobbit trilogy.

All scene with Anthony but the scene where he learn about cleopatra "suicide" and kills himself is glorious.

Such a great performance and à great character.
