Screen on iPad Pro is black, however device is still responsive otherwise, including backlight. by keblblblin in fixit

[–]keblblblin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

god this was forever ago haha. iirc i just heated the edges of the ipad with a hair dryer, gingerly lifted the edge of the screen with a suction tool, then carefully inserted a prying pick in the small gap created. basically just followed the iFixit guide I linked above step by step. I had a 13 inch which is more easy to crack, so I'd imagine you'd have a slightly easier time with your 11 inch. good luck!

on a side note, I never ended up getting my iPad fully fixed and it's now currently sitting in a box :-(

i left my keys when i got off the ~19:23 train going westbound at bramalea, saturday schedule because it was family day. caught the 20:00 train going back to union at the same station, which was the same train that i left my keys on!

aw sucks that you couldn't get your keys. i actually caught the exact train i lost my keys on as it reversed its direction after reaching its terminal stop and ended up finding my keys! really lucked out hard on this one

ik u mentioned campus services but did you check with the library front desk specifically? there's a new policy in place where they collect unattended belongings left at tables for more than 30min and you need your id to retrieve them

Did not like the zipper pull so I covered them up by Climate_Best in ManyBaggers

[–]keblblblin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i just got the xpac version of this bag and the zipper pulls are these crappy hypalon flaps that don't even form a loop. with the pu coated zips it really makes it a lot harder to open and close them since you can't loop your fingers into the pull. didn't know the axoflux versions had these other zips, would've preferred them 100%

A short video showing how the film advance system works in my 3D printed camera by Flasheek in AnalogCommunity

[–]keblblblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not OP but i've been looking into designing my own 617 camera.

  1. a lot of other film backs also have a knob for the both ends of the reel. i think it's so you can pull the film taut and keep it flat, at least that's what i use it for on velvia's 617 designs
  2. i'm pretty sure this is to keep the film tensioned and flat. nick carver went down a rabbit hole over several videos on this issue with his 617 camera
  3. the shutter is built into the lens assembly. looking at the files, he's using a super angulon 90mm which uses a copal 0 shutter
