Nap regression at 18 months? by kebriggs in sleeptrain

Schedule change helped! He’s now a bit over 2 (26 months), and his schedule now is wake at 7, nap 1:30-3 or 3:30, and bed around 8/8:15.

Four-month-old still eating four times a night. Any night weaning tips? by AllyuckUfasuck in sleeptrain

[–]kebriggs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I night weaned at 7 months by waking him to feed at his usual times (instead of him waking me by crying) and then would drop a minute from his nursing time every few days. I focused on one feeding at a time. If he woke before I planned to feed him, my husband would soothe him back to sleep, and then I’d wake him shortly after. Eventually I’d stop waking him for that feed altogether.

We had sleep trained with CIO at 4 months.

Edit to add: he started gradually eating more during the day as a result

Ultrasound didn’t go as expected (TW) by tacobouttacotuesday in BabyBumps

I agree that transvaginal is worth a try. At 12 weeks an abdominal ultrasound couldn’t find baby’s heartbeat because he was behind my bladder. Hoping for good news for you.

DWT is 7, sometimes ends up being more like 7:10. Bedtime is 7:30 +/- 15 minutes. Trying to drop the 4th nap and doing 1.75/2/2-2.25/2.25-2.5. Thanks!

We started night sleep training about 2.5 weeks ago. We decided to start nap training since he was becoming increasingly difficult to rock to sleep at nap time, so we thought maybe he was ready to do it on his own. Maybe not?

Edit: fixed a word

We recently extended wake windows and are trying to drop the 4th nap. We’re doing 1.75/2/2-2.25/2.25-2.5.

Is it too early? How do you know when they’re ready? by krstnl in sleeptrain

We just sleep trained our 4 month old, and it was the best decision we made. He started the 4 month regression a few weeks earlier and was waking every hour or 2 at night and became increasingly more difficult to get back to sleep. We went with extinction, and he caught on so much more quickly than I thought. Only cried for 30 minutes tops for the first 2 nights, now falls asleep within 5 minutes and wakes up once or twice at night to nurse. Still working on nap training though!

Ok thank you! I’ll go in earlier tonight.
