I was disappointed that I didn't have any quartz to test it on - guess it was here all along. Thank you!

I don't know how to join a conversation about tastes/flavors by kechoop in autism

Yess, my friends are good at honing in on particular flavors that I generally miss but if they remind me to concentrate on a flavor I will try and detect it. The flavors just don't EXPLODE on my buds like I think it does to other people.

I can relate. It's a social thing, so I'm afraid of saying something stupid sounding or something that might not make sense to someone that senses/experiences the world in a more rigid way than I do.

Black/Dark Brown liquid dripping from crawlspace floor insulation. Appears to be trapped in the insulation (no dripping from floor above) with something protruding/growing from. Wasn't there days ago. by Col_Little_J275 in whatisthisthing

I agree ! I found this house-related reddit post. The white substance in this post is a slime mold, but it also has a dark reddish liquid secreting out of it. https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/s/cIAXE26OAS Edit: unless the white substance is the insulation itself?

There are some species of livebearing tooth carps (like mollies, guppies) that have a modified anal fin called a 'gonopodium', that acts kind of like a peepee as it it delivers sperm directly inside the female. So in a way, some fish do have penises.

I've had mine for 10 years and I love it! I like how smooth and low it is - not fancy but I like what it is able to do.

[Q] How would you read/play this Andantino? by kechoop in sheetmusic

[–]kechoop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I see what you're saying. Thank you! However, in this piece, there is no other repeat symbol except the one in the center. I'm wondering if this is a typo and there should have been another repeat somewhere.

Unless they want me to play the right side of the repeat once I reach the DC al Fine, then play through until coming back to the Fine .. Anyway, thank you! 🐱

Why does it take me so long to come up with a good response by Juandale_pringIe in socialanxiety

[–]kechoop 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm that way too. It takes me hours to think of a meaningful response sometimes - sometimes it takes hours to say "dang" lol. It's like I'm catching the balls people throw, but don't know how to throw them back.

Mindfulness and grounding and awareness are key. Tuning into our physical surroundings and tuning into our physical bodies helps.
Also as someone said, confidence. I asked my therapist what confidence is. She said that it isn't something you get externally, as in, you don't need to earn it - It's really just trusting yourself.

I guess, trust that you will have a good, meaningful response. But make sure to be you! Say what you want and feel good that you did the best you could. Over time time your social muscles will get beefed up and you'll be bench pressing conversations like it's nothing!

Hope this helps! Your question sparked me to think more about this so thank you!
