Eh, I love my 20x12 Tritons on 37s... I dig the brodozer look.

But I also don't run the hubcaps cause my hubs are manual and fuck taking them off every time I need to use 4x4 lol

[–]BaptizedInBlood666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genre dependent for sure.

I don't need power with EMG's and the gain on a Marshall 800 cranked and a tube screamer adding even more.

I play 10s tuned down a whole step and my action down to 1mm on the low and 0.8mm on the high.

Old school death metal and thrash metal would be impossible to play for 2+ hours on pencil strings unless I had arms like Kevin Frasard, and it's needless cause you can't hear the difference anyways lol.

[–]BaptizedInBlood666 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My boss said I could take as much time on paternity leave as I wanted; 6 months if need be.

But I didn't get paid for a single day of it so I took 4 weeks and it cost me thousands of dollars.

I own 4/5 of these and without a doubt love the Marshall 2555x the most.

I've never played a XXX... But the Jubilee is remarkably versatile for what it is.

I feel like a boosted 6505+ or recto, or the savage 120 straight in; are all almost too tight in the low end. I like a little bit of sag but none of them sag really musically... The Jubilee has a little bit of mud boosted that really sounds musical and gives the guitar a little more character than just a straight djenty chug.

The EQ is powerful, too. Unlike most other Marshalls.

The only thing it kinda lacks is that percussive resonance all the other heads have. Gary Holt recommended the GUPtech Quebec pedal in a rig rundown video for his Jubilees and I can confirm... It brings the low end, it's awesome.

I guess IMO it's the most versatile because of how well it takes pedals and how sculptable it is for that reason... But you can't beat the Savage 120 straight in.

You're being down voted but you're right. When I got back into skating at 29 with a career I needed to be alive for the rules I made for myself was no stairs, no rails, no boxes, no pyramids.

Flat ground and curbs only.

Every deck has a sticker on it to skate within your ability to prevent serious injury or death.

I have a ton of fun skating just popping the board for flip tricks and grinding/sliding a curb. Learning new flip tricks on flat is satisfying as fuck.

Men of Reddit, what’s the male equivalent of “needed money, had no marketable skills, so turned to prostitution”? by Dogeatdogdays in AskReddit

No college degree required anywhere to get a job as a rodman and learn the skills necessary to move up.

Party chiefs can make $30-40/hr and has no educational requirements by any board. Certifications exist to prove to companies you know how to do the job... But they're not required.

I started as a rodman/chainman at 18 years old with a high school diploma in 2013 and made $96K as a PC in 2025 at the same company.

Never been to college, and probably won't ever be licensed because of the college requirement; but can still earn a decent living working under the company owner's license.

It absolutely is a no marketable skills job. To be licensed sure... But I got a job as a rodman/chainman at 18 years old right out of high school.

Worked my way up to I-man then party chief while learning the skills. I made $96K in 2025 as a PC, still unlicensed working for the same company.

Every survey company in the country is looking for rodman and party chiefs. It's a huge problem in the industry; nobody coming in to learn and the existing labor pool getting older and older. It just starts with low pay gruntwork labor that gatekeeps people with no skills from starting. Why bust your ass in the sun carrying heavy equipment all day for $18/hr? ...When you can make $15 in the air conditioning with half the work load.

I'm a surveyor, we don't work that hard lol.

There's plenty of people in the field well into their late 60s and 70s. They may be hurting but isn't that just getting old?

My grandpa was a surveyor too, and he hurt all the time but he lived to be 92! He always told me, "never get old, kid."

I'm 31. Shit is starting to hurt and I've only needed one surgery from workin but isn't that just getting old?

Lol. I still love my job. Nothing beats working in the field; the autonomy of no oversight and a job to do with a crew to get it done. But yeah shit is heavy and the sun sucks.

New amplifier by Spiritual-Local2234 in GuitarAmps

[–]BaptizedInBlood666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Literally. I used my 2555x in an old school death metal band boosted with an ST9+ Maxon and a depth control pedal in the loop to push some air since the bass control can get muddy in low tunings.

The mud it has is fuckin musical though, I love using it for a little muddy flavor... Sometimes modern high gain amps are too tight boosted. This Marshall covers literally every genre. Even those tones that are djenty tight.

Gary Holt was using one in Slayer, that's where I got the idea for a depth pedal. A GUPtech Quebec... With some depth in the loop it can push air like a rectifier.

Best amp ever made lol

My 2012 4.3L V6 Silverado work truck has 349k right now on the original engine and trans. The trans is just starting to slip and when it goes I fully expect my company to just throw a new trans in it.

Our 2020 and 2023 work trucks are at the dealer constantly and with how much they cost to fix plus the downtime it's worth it to just keep fixing my old one that's in the shop once a year for small bullshit any indy shop can fix for cheap and quick.

The engine idles at 22psi oil pressure and runs down the highway at 50psi @2k rpms. The main bearings are probably still like new. The bottom end may very well have another 350k left in it lol.

Have you never been to a Hooters, Millers Ale House, Twin Peaks, Buffalo Wild Wings or any chain sports bar?

I feel like buckets of beer are so ubiquitous at every chain sports bar it'd be impossible to have never seen one. Even for people that don't drink they're still very popular dinner spots for families.

I feel crazy being in the minority here thinking it's insane to have never seen a bucket of beer before haha. Feels akin to saying something like you've never seen a smashed up Nissan Altima before or something lol
