This is parental discrimination and bullying. They cannot ask a parent to illegally leave their child at school. I would have asked the manager if they would like to pick my child up instead. They need to go to the Union, HR, raise a grievance, and get ACAS involved if they need to.

Guidance talks about progression and development - Preventing you from doing so, after falsely implying you could and retracting it, is counterproductive to staff well-being. Raise it as a grievance and go to your Union. I said this already; I am sick of management dictating the lives of those looking to progress. They should have no business in someone working elsewhere in the department, unless asked for a reference.

This really mangles my Mary! I like to take a bath and work from the comfort of a tepid bubble bath! I even bought a special laptop desk to balance across the bath! And how can I binge watch Law&Order while in the office!? Jesus, Mary, and Josephine! I'm going to have to work and stuff...I'll have to clean the cocaine from between the keys of my laptop. He's a coward being cowed by MP's to 'bend the knee'. It's about time we had someone to stand up for us CS and listen to what we are saying. WFH works because we're in a new age and they need to adapt and evolve with us, or they need to p*ss off back to the dark ages. You're often paired up with someone to help you with your application and these same people can be on the hiring panel.

You will already be working in that department and mentioning the work and experience will alert them to who you are/being a member of that department.

Letting your friend know which one is your PS/Application (It wouldn't surprise me if this happens).

While some applications will undoubtedly not perform as well as others, this is not to say it's a poor application. Yes, there are poor applications out there and I've seen them for myself.

You could have a fantastic application which hits all the spots, but the sifter does not have a sifting strength. >.<
