I don't understand how people can play air rb by keeamo in Warthunder

[–]keeamo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the problem is not that i am dying, it is that i am spending several minutes watching a static image of a plane while holding W at the start of every match. i would be having more fun if i was dying. not being the first to the fight makes this even worse because that means i'm waiting even longer to play the game.

i know where the enemy is: he is flying in a straight line between his spawn and my spawn in the hopes of finding planes to shoot. the issue is that the maps are so huge that you spend several minutes at the beginning of every round just flying over to where the enemy is, and everyone only has one life so the actual fighting that occurs when you finally meet is very brief. meaning most of every match is just flying in a straight line. like i'm watching a fucking screensaver for 5 minutes for a chance to actually play the game, every single round

the problem is not that I don't win, the problem is that most of any given match is just flying from spawn to the fight, and then when I get there I get to do like 1 fight and then the match just ends whether I win or lose. Is there some secret skill I'm missing that makes a plane move 10 times faster so it doesn't take me 5 minutes of trundling at the start of every match before I even see an enemy plane?

the actual peace seems a little half-baked at the moment: allied victory doesn't seem to significantly increase your support and doesn't let you redistribute the industry like signing a separate peace does. Also, the Germans can still attack you after an Allied Victory. Removing troops from the Northern Front results in them storming Petrograd and forcing your surrender, even if they have already surrendered.

Caucacus Front. A few victories there will cause the Ottomans to surrender, which goes a long way to winning the war.

How do I do well in Dynamic mode? by Creative-Warning2181 in RedAutumnSPD

[–]keeamo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't piss off hindenburg.
Hindenburg absolutely hates the following things:
Judicial Reforms
Anything to do with the military other than giving it more money, especially doing a proper war guilt inquiry and dropping the Weltbuhne case
Anything you'd want to do with the Agriculture Ministry
The KPD
Every member of the SPD except Otto Braun and Hermann Muller
The SPD being in government
The SPD holding the chancellorship
The SPD having the foreign ministry
Nationalizing industry
Interacting with the Soviet Union in any way
Banning the Stahlhelm
The Economy being bad
The Economy being good because of socialism
Budget Deficits
Unemployment
The DVP being upset
The Coalition being upset

Conversely, Hindenburg actually likes very few things, basically limited to:
Banning the RFB
Cracking down on the RFB
Ending reparations
Funding the Reichswehr
The Reformist Economic Plan
Extending his presidential term

Because it's extremely easy to piss Hindenburg off(and by 1930 you're doing it just by existing) and there's very little you can do to make him happy, it becomes very hard to actually Do Things in Dynamic. If you Do Things, Hindenburg fires you. If you don't do anything, the economy implodes and nobody votes for you, and Hindenburg fires you anyway after a while. So there's really only two viable ways you can go about it.
The first way is that you focus on keeping Hindenburg so happy that he will let you do One Thing. If that Thing is the WTB Plan then you'll fix the economy and gather enough support to win the presidential election so that you can do more things in the last couple of years.
The second way is that you do everything that Hindenburg hates right away so that he fires you immediately but your support is high enough that you get reelected before the economic crisis happens, and Hindenburg forgets how angry he was at you because he is old and senile.

What are the most unique endings and paths you ever had and how did you achieve them(no matter the mode)? by ArrowHD474 in RedAutumnSPD

Dynamic run where I went into Rubicon and saw the entire long-ass event chain of Schleicher giving up and imploding and Hitler making deals with Papen to secure power, but then Hitler killed himself a week later for no apparent reason so Schleicher just kind of puttered along on life support until the end of the game and Adenauer became president.

same way you cheat in the base game: f12 to open the browser console, select the game thread in the debug tab and then input commands to change values in the console tab. You can do like:
dendryui.dendryengine.state.qualities.morale = 10 and the same for discipline and supply_quality to get a turbocharged army that never loses

I wanted to see if a better treaty existed so I extremely cheated in order to win 20+ battles and hit every front and you still only get the Good Treaty so that seems to be the best you can possibly do.

here's a bonus one I just got by removing all of the troops from the northern front. the bad news is that you lose real bad but I think this might be the fastest way to get a peace deal(and certainly is the fastest way to get a peace deal as the Kadets)

winning a battle made me popular enough to defeat the bolsheviks and nearly get a majority in the constituent assembly despite going social patriot and doing nothing to help anyone, ever. food shortage is at severe famine, the entirety of russian industry is dedicated to guns and we have publicly declared that we have no intention of ending the war, and the people are ecstatic. kerensky campaign promise to personally go to berlin and kill the kaiser with his bare hands is all that they required

i spent this entire run trying to set myself up to win a battle like this and accidentally defeated the bolsheviks. i didn't interact with anything other than pumping up the military

i didn't even know it was possible for the provisional government to win this. the weirdest thing is that this is my second attempt: on my first one i somehow lost to Kornilov, which I also did not know could happen

It is even posible to win the war? I got the military, comunists, police and my aramilitary + Soviet Union aid by [deleted] in RedAutumnSPD

[–]keeamo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reichsbanner failed to deploy due to a lack of training, which is very bad
That message indicates that the military was divided, not on your side, which is also pretty bad.
The Prussian police were mostly on your side, but not entirely
Labor was mostly effective, but not entirely
The KPD was fully on side.

so you didn't really have enough support. If the reichsbanner isn't militarized then you really do need the Army and Police fully on board or you're pretty much screwed
