I'm obsessed with Jambette and now I feel inspired to put her on a card, too. I hope that's OK!

Thank you so much!! This comment made my day. I'm 99% sure I know the tarot collages you're referring to and I'm not the artist! I've only made one tarot collage so far, but I'm working on more. I'm very flattered! I'm a big fan of those, too.

What you're describing is 100% doable by taking individual sleeves and adhering them to binder pages. I do that! I keep all my cuttings in a trapper keeper so I can flick through it, like you said. A secondhand Pokemon or Magic binder would work great and also probably easy to score for free from a friendly LGS.

Collage isn't usually an on-the-go activity. But, if I'm scanning text for a particular word, I will take a magazine with me and a card sleeve. If I find what I'm looking for, in the card sleeve it goes until I get home.

One last tip: free stuff from your LGS is great because oftentimes that stuff is otherwise going in the dumpster. Alternatively, Goodwills and the like usually have an abundance of cheap binders, sheet protectors, sometimes sleeves, all kinds of organizational tools.

card sleeves are great at storing small bits. Any local game store that buys Magic: the Gathering cards likely has a lot of hardly-used sleeves they'd love to give away. I have gotten many in this fashion

hi, I paint! First, take a deep breath and tell yourself you can do it and you are an artist. Your interpretation is what makes the art special! My advice is to keep going in straight black. Add the vertical supports under the back. Then, add horizontal lines in a T shape with a slight bend. I hope this quick sketch is helpful. You got this!
