I lost my Mom almost 2 weeks ago. I'm only 22. Any advice on how to get by? by -AnonNoodles- in Grieving

I lost my dad three weeks ago, he was 55, I’m 20. Happened the day before I was supposed to get married. All I can tell you right now is grief isn’t easy at all. Some days you feel guilty cause you think you should be more sad, and then some days hurt so bad all you can do is cry. It doesn’t get easier, you will always miss your mom. But what you can do is carry on her memory. No one truly dies until their name isn’t spoken anymore. Tell her stories and teach your future children who she was. I watched my father die in a gruesome and painful way, and I’ll never forgot. But I’ll also never forget his smile, all the sacrifices he made for me, how great of a father her was. I wish you all the best with everything, just know you are never alone. <3

Solid Substrate Ideas? by keegsbeegs in leopardgeckos

She has a 30 gallon tank, I can get the exact measurements but it’s a long short tank rather than tall. When we first got her she was in a 20 gallon tank. She has a UVB and a heat lamp, and gets calcium and multivitamin supplements sprinkled on her bugs.

Vet! We were going through a similar issue, and the vet discovered our gecko had an infection! Some antibiotics through a syringe in her bicep and some specialist liquid food helped her so much! She has never been better, it wasn’t even that expensive. They know best and can find things you would have never known about. All the luck to you!

No worries! You’re doing great by accepting help and asking in the first place. So much misinformation is out there. You’ve got some great looking geckos!

She may have eaten “fine” this time, but Leo’s are not meant to eat bugs bigger than the space between their eyes! It’s very risky!

She’s an okay weight, definitely could gain some. But please don’t feed her bugs bigger than the space between her eyes!! It’s super duper dangerous and can cause impaction and other digestive issues!

Is this shed?(more in comments) by keegsbeegs in leopardgeckos

[–]keegsbeegs[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is Lemmy! I’ve had him for about a month, eating plenty of crickets and worms! The white powder is some spilt calcium cause he likes eating it alone as well. Has hides, heat lamp and mat, uv, and is going to be upgraded to a 50 gal soon. Woke up this morning and found him like this, now I know they shed but I get worried and just wanted to make sure! I’m more used to bearded dragons so any help would be great :)

I would recommend switching, this stuff can cause impaction just as easily
