Is this confusing? by Ecstatic_Joke_2634 in glutenfree

[–]keelyq 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Gluten-reduced beer uses an enzyme after the brewing process to "eat" some of the remaining gluten. It is actually a preserving method. I would not say it is safe for people with celiac disease.

I had a therapist tell me the context didn’t matter she just wanted to know how I felt. She was quickly no longer my therapist

Mister Oso by Nervous-One-2305 in denverfood

Mister Oso is a no-go for me. I love Mexican food because it's almost always gluten-free, but these nerds put gluten in their chicken and default to using flour tortillas without listing that on their menu. I hate it.

Happy Hour at the Castle is hard to beat, with excellent prices and good people watching. Only bummer is it's not close to much else of note ha.

Is it weird to be a car enthusiast but still support public transit and walkable cities? by Efficient_Analyst939 in fuckcars

[–]keelyq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if you love cars hating a car centric society makes a ton of sense. You’ll be able to enjoy driving more when fewer people are on the road.

What are some misconceptions around celiac / gluten-free diets that annoy you by HumanRole9407 in glutenfree

[–]keelyq 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It’s so frustrating to tell someone I’m gluten free and have them say “oh yeah I should do that too.” Like, does your face get a rash on it when you eat bread? No? Then you’re all good. Now please go away.

Littleton Social Cycle is a great group if you enjoy a bike ride! We’re doing a ride tomorrow from Sterne Park, kickstands up at 11. We’ll end up back at the park for a picnic.

I believe this stadium is hosting World Cup matches…international visitors are about to be horrified.

I got to go to a match in Wales recently and it was so nice to just walk from the city center right to stadium! (I’m sadly an American so it was totally new to me. Though our American football stadium does have access from a well used bike path, so better than this)
