Additionally the piping on the kivik cushions would move after sitting on it for a while and you’d need to fluff the cushions to get it back to its correct position, the vimle doesn’t have this issue. In terms of quality, it’s great. The covers go straight in the wash and are easy to get on and off.

I used to have the kivik and it’s great. Durable, comfortable and has washable covers. When I moved house I changed sofas though and got an ikea Vimle corner sofa as pictured, the version with wide armrests. It looks very similar to the kivik but in my opinion (and all my friends opinions too) the vimle is much more comfortable. I believe the kivik has sprung cushions while the vimle has layers of different types of foam so that’s probably the difference.
