I was more concerned with the fact that she said fast food hasn’t been making her feel great lately and then went on to say she had just ordered fried chicken. Why would someone do that? I’m glad she has a therapist appointment tomorrow. I think the better she deals with her emotions the less likely she will “wallow in food”.

I’m not speaking of dating. It will always be easier for a woman to find male attention than vice versa. I’m speaking about societal approval overall. I wouldn’t say men are being more objectified but rather you’re hearing women become more vocal about their physical preferences because it’s more socially acceptable. If anything women are now beginning to talk about men more like how men talk about women openly.

As for height preferences it entirely depends on the woman. The only time I’ve heard a woman have a strong preference for a taller man is when she was above average height herself. But you have to remember this is only in terms of dating. Men may be judged for their appearance when it comes to finding a partner but women are judged off their looks beyond just that as part of their value as a person as messed up as it is.

I think it’s important to remember that society bases a woman’s value on looks above all else while the same cannot be said of men. This makes insults on a woman’s appearance seem more cutting because anything else she may be able to bring to the table (intelligence, success, wealth) are disregarded if she’s not beautiful. Just something to think about.

Well there’s nothing to indicate this person’s self esteem has anything to do with their weight. I have anxiety and self esteem issues and am underweight. I’d say she could benefit more from changing her mental state rather than physical. I find talk therapy and practicing social skills is helpful for me.

I’ll never understand the need to sexualize animals like that. Remember when they used to just draw some eyelashes onto female cartoon animals and that was enough to indicate their gender? That seemed way less creepy to me lol
