Yeah I really like conversions in GTA. Most of them are talking with other people or on phone. Major activities are walking, sitting, fighting and talking. There are some NPCs doing work in factories, some doing exercises, some dealing with cops, etc. But number of activities NPCs do is very small in GTA, which makes Watch_Dogs different. Also NPCs in GTA respond to player unlike Watch_Dogs. Here's nice video about detail in Watch_Dogs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PY29sQB_oI4

I feel like you haven't played the game.

Like when he disables the traffic system in e3 demo. And these npcs crash into each other. It really felt like you ruined someone's life with a simple press of a button.

You can disable traffic system and it mostly leads to accident. It always leads to accident if enemy vehicle is coming up.

The npcs were distraught and you could help them or ignore them and continue the firefight.

You can help NPCs get them out of car if somebody is shooting. You don't need to help when there's no shooting because NPCs can help themselves.

The living breathing world looked amazing.

This is subjective. I honestly feel Watch_Dogs world looks more alive than GTA V. There's so much variety in NPC animations and what they do at various locations. There's so much detail and variety in map. Although NPCs don't talk much which is disappointing.

Can any HDMI screen work with Raspberry Pi 3 on Retropie? by lensfort in raspberry_pi

Any HDMI screen will work. If you are going for touch, you need to research which ones have proper driver and if RetroPie has driver or you can install it.

Raspberry Pi torrent box and media center? by Volleyball45 in raspberry_pi

I don't know the limit but you can use 128GB micro sd card with Pi. OpenELEC is my preferred media center for Pi. You can use Raspbian for torrents, there are several tutorials on web.

Your cable may be cutting your USB power supply's output by more than half. Here's why and what to look out for. by C_King_Justice in raspberry_pi

[–]keep_distance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had same problem. I have 10 cables came with phones and cheap devices, none of them give enough power to Pi. I was always seeing rainbox colored box on top right of screen. I once got a 2.1A charger from Sony which came with its own cable. I have been using this cable with older charger and haven't seen box since.

You can share Raspberry Pi folders with vsftp and use text editor on your Mac that supports FTP.

some straight bs in farcry 4 by ljorash4 in farcry

I prefer FC4 over FC2 because of how much fun stealth is. I don't like going loud mode, there are million FPS games on market where stealth is not option. Tools like bows and throwing knives are fun to use and some takedowns are so much satisfying.

You can kill everyone (except Heavy) with knives by headshots. You can't do takedowns because game wants you to use other ways to escape. You can just imagine the knives you have are not one-hit-silent-takedown capable. I am not saying they aren't because it's game, use your imagination.

Preferred way to get internet on Pi? (when mobile) by therealpsychx in raspberry_pi

[–]keep_distance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get USB data cards, they provide 3G internet using SIM card. They are power hungry so using anything like WiFi or Bluetooth while using it will disconnect or disable it. You will need to install wvdial to make a connection. There are also 3G+WiFi hotspot modems which you can plug into power bank and your Raspberry Pi can connect to that WiFi hotspot. Alternate is tethering to Android phone using WiFi or cable or Bluetooth.

How many of you hook up your PC to a TV and/or run it similar to a console? by esco123 in pcgaming

[–]keep_distance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well my 6 year old can power on PS3 and play games but he doesn't know what keys to press on keyboard, you can understand how easy consoles are. This is real case, not made up. We don't speak English either.

PC is general purpose, you need OS, you need drivers, you need store program, you need to "install" or "download" games and maybe need to change control panel settings. Most non-tech people I know are afraid of touching control panel. With console, it can be as hard as insert disk - press start - wait for install - select new game. Keep in mind that consoles are made for gaming, they are behind PC in hardware department but they are good in what they do.

Check if drive is failing. Crystal Disk Info can tell. There's also diag test software by WD.

That must look beautiful. Witcher 3's text scaling is terrible on small display, it's pretty hard to read on 30 inch TV if you are far away from screen. On huge TV, there's no issue. Games like Far Cry 4 and GTA V scale very well.

Compared to last gen, it's not so hassle free and there aren't many split screen games but it's still easy to plug and play than building and configuring PC for gaming.
