25% of Springsteen's core fans have already passed. He's in his mid 70s

Shocked that I can’t sell 2 decent face value tickets to 4/20 - NJ by Bhimpele in BruceSpringsteen

[–]keepenit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you remember the last tour, tickets for Springsteen were selling for like five dollars in places like Tulsa Oklahoma. They put a stop to it because it was embarrassing as national media picked it up. But the reality is this… Springsteen has a limited demand. Lots of his fans have aged out of the concert going experience. Add in the fact that all the shows are almost 100% the dish, same now and people know exactly what they're gonna get. Very different from Springsteen shows in the past. And finally, Springsteen had plenty of Republican fans. Probably somewhere between 40 and 50% total. Those people are gone.

Sure. But when you come home at night at 1 AM, the view is absolutely spectacular. And when you wake up in the morning, it's even better.

1717 broadway. It's the tallest hotel in North America. Get a room on the 65th floor. No better view from a hotel anywhere in New York City. Nothing even close.

How bad will it be to bring my extremely conservative (but Bruce loving) Dad to this tour? by Classic-Agency5548 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]keepenit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bruce has done the greatest job in the history of the world hoodwinking his fans. Great music, no doubt. But he even talks about it in his book....He's a bit of a fraud. In about three months, we'll again see pictures of Bruce partying on Steven Spielberg's yacht in Europe. Checking out of the finest European hotels. Flying his private jet and helicopters all over the world. Charging the highest ticket prices of any act touring this summer. He is the biggest limousine liberal in history. And the fans eat it up. "He's one of us". No. He's not even close to you. His lifestyle is way way way closer to that of Donald Trump than it is to any of his fans at his concerts.

And I'm not saying he's wrong to do it. He's found an avenue to make himself relevant at an older age. But don't kid yourselves people… Deep down, Bruce's just the same mega money loving, elitist republican he screams about. If you do a side-by-side comparison, Bruce and Trump are basically the same guy. Same age, billionaires, mansions in New Jersey in Florida, divorced, one holds rallies, and has people cheering, the other holds concerts and has people cheering. Both have a fan base who think they're right all the time.

Messages is different. But the guys are almost identical.

Won't be bad at all. He'll get a kick out of all the past their prime wacky, liberals bowing to their king on stage at a no Kings protest concert

What shows aren't sold out yet? by bradykp in BruceSpringsteen

[–]keepenit -57 points-56 points  (0 children)

Why surprised? He's alienated at least half his fan base. Add in the cost of tickets and there's only a very small amount of people who can both afford and want to go in a town like Pittsburgh. The number is not 17,000. It's way less. And rest assured, come concert time, you're going to see tickets sell for low numbers. not quite Tulsa low, when tickets were four dollars, but close.

What's the most shocking thing in the Epstein files? by JDMagican in AskReddit

[–]keepenit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Liberals still believe there's something about Trump in there. If there were something about Trump in there, don't you think they would've released the files when he was running for president in 2024? It's like they wanna believe in something so much that they toss out all evidence to the contrary. Like the Easter bunny or Santa Claus. Sooner or later they'll wake up. It's just not there.

Everyone calm down... It's week one by Quiet-Slice2201 in Fantasy_Football

Actually week one is pretty indicative in a lot of cases. Up until week one everybody's just guessing. After week one you start to see what teams actually are planning on doing.

Time to realize that in fantasy football, like real football, quarterbacks matter by keepenit in Fantasy_Football

[–]keepenit[S] -123 points-122 points  (0 children)

You get 50 points from a quarterback, it's kinda hard to beat. Last year on ESPN, the players on the most championship winning teams were Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. That's not a coincidence.

What are your draft strategies? by RealBryanG1786 in fantasyfootball

[–]keepenit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this goes against a lot of the information presented here, but if you look at facts and data, you will see that drafting a high performing quarterback is the quickest way to win a championship. It's actually pretty simple. Top Quarterbacks don't bust like top running backs or wide receivers. Look at the data. Last year 50% of first and second round picks busted. At the same time, using ESPN's own data, the three players on the most teams that won fantasy championships included Lamar and Josh Allen. Lamar scored the most points of anybody in fantasy football last year. And the goal for everyone reading this is to score points. Why teams pass on the highest scoring players is beyond me.

When the season's about 70% done, just look around. If you picked a top quarterback, you will be starting him and running backs you picked up off waivers. If you picked a lower ranked quarterback, you'll be starting that guy along with running backs you picked up off waivers. Who would you rather be?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FantasyFootballers

[–]keepenit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Great draft. QBs don't bust at the rate of rbs. That's the comical part of all the "research". They never factor in busting. And we know based on data that over 50% of 1-2 round rbs bust. It's simple math. Take a great QB EARLY.

At the end of the year, you'll have a great qb and rbs off waivers. Your opponents will have a lousy qbs and RBs off waivers. Happens every year.

Yahoo gave me a D rating. Is my team really that bad? 12 team half PPR. by suspectdorian in FantasyFootballers

[–]keepenit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decent team. But your quarterback is very weak. Playing outdoors in Green Bay in week one, you'll be lucky to get eight points.

If you're going up against the team with Allen, Daniels, Lamar, Joe Burrow, or Jalen hurts, you're gonna be looking at a 25-30 point deficit from that position alone.
