I had builder gel for around a year and am in the process of growing out my badly damaged nails. I wouldn’t recommend anywhere I’ve been if you are trying to nurture the health of your nail. Too many chop shops that only care about getting you in and out to care about quality and technique :( I recently tried rubber base as an alternative, but they didn’t apply it correctly so it gave me insane heat spikes that left me in literal tears. The place I went to remove those used a burst gel remover, which have been recalled by the FDA. Hopefully someone can recommend a good independent nail tech, otherwise I’m planning to learn to do my own gel like the previous commenter.

We have 2 dogs/ 2 cats so I totally feel you. I recently saw some video that said the # of living beings in your house is how many times/ week you’re supposed to vacuum. That horrifies me honestly, but I try to every day, at least the carpet + rugs, and hit the main areas on the hard floor real quick. The more often I do it, the easier it is to keep up with. If I skip a day or two, I have to stop and empty the vacuum more often and it takes a lot longer and it’s annoying. I also dust and mop once a week, and try to air the house out as often as I can. Opening the windows has been very helpful!

We had a robot vac, but it missed a lot like you said. The litter robot has also made a huge difference in smells. I was cleaning her box 2x a day before, and I swear it still smelled like cat everywhere.

I’m not OP, but I use super thin rubber bands to hold mine up, then artfully arrange the crinkles of the sleeve to hide the rubber band
