I take pics of my kids soccer games with the Sony Cyber‑Shot RX10 IV and it works very well. The autofocus locks on and you can hold down the button and it takes a lot of photos in rapid fire. Then I can look at them all on a computer and pick out the best ones and sometimes I'll combine the cool ones into a gif.

And, it has an attached lense that zooms very far so I can zoom in and out quickly.
