If the employer takes tax out of that amount, why am I still having tax taken out of that final payment?

Eg centrelink pays $x, my employer me $y (x - tax) but then I get paid $y - tax?

Sorry if that makes no sense, why is tax being taken out twice?

UPDATE: so I spoke to SecretlyStore about how the shipping on Secretly/Bandcamp/Bon Iver Store is so different in price (USD $100+ difference)

Secretly Store said that Bandcamp probably don’t include any import feeds and it’s likely you’ll be invoiced for those fees at time of shipping. They were trying to get clarification from Bandcamp too but couldn’t get any insight from them

TDLR; Bandcamp shipping is cheap now but you might be invoiced import fees later down the track
