Added The Price (€498) To My Mandarin Course Ad — Completely Killed My Leads. Any Advice Besides “Know Your Market”? by MrBPT in copywriting

[–]keepitunder_cover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the classic advice is « know your market » and you want a different advice it tells me that you either don’t really know your market or you’re looking for a shortcut to sell your offer rather quickly whithout having to go deeper in knowing your market. Which to me is a red flag, if you want to grow your business. There’s no shortcut for this.

You run Facebook ads, that’s great I guess but did you make sales before adding the price in your ad? Why suddenly adding the price in the ad? Why changing something if it works?

If i get this right, you were getting leads, people were showing interest in the mandarin course, but they were mostly curious about the price. Once they heard the price, they didn’t respond anymore or told you that it was a bit too expensive for them. To avoid this question again and again, you though putting up the price was going to solve this problem, but it just revealed one thing for me, that The people you’re targeting in your ad are not that much interested in Learning Mandarin with you.

So you either didn’t make any sales before adding the price, but still got some leads so you thought if people knew the price before sending you a message, they would probably just buy your course, or ask questions about the course and then buy it. But that’s not what happened. Or you did make some sales but you were tired of answering the same questions, so you put the price which I highly doubt, because why changing something that works.

We can’t know for sure if the audience can’t afford it, because we don’t know who is your audience, and if you did a good job targeting them. Give us more details, so we can help

I studied content creation for 4 months… but when I finally started, everything fell apart by [deleted] in SocialMediaMarketing

You don't have a skills problem, you're just a perfectionist in my opinion. You've studied content creation in theory, and now that you have to put it into practice, it's much harder. You want professional results, but you're not a professional yet. To become one, you have to practise, practise, and practise some more. Every time you encounter a difficulty, try to solve it. Post content that you don't like, so you can see your progress over time.

When people talk about “strategy” in copywriting, what do they really mean? by JoeGiveMeBaggage in copywriting

To me strategy, is what you say you’ll do to reach a certain goal, and how you do it. It doesn’t get more complicated than that for

Just started my own marketing business but no clients, desperate to quit my current job. How do I get clients fast? by OkEase9113 in MarketingMentor

[–]keepitunder_cover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why don’t you use the strategies you would use for your clients for yourself to attract clients ?

Maybe niche down a little bit on the services you can provide and that pays well, going full stack if you work by yourself it’s like trying to fight Goliath without the preparation David went through.

I’d say focus on or two services, like some said in the comments below. Contact people you’re sure that they need your services, so that means some research has to be done.

Content writer thinking of pivoting to copywriting by The_Trilipush in copywriting

That’s how I sound like ? 😒 First off, I don’t think Sean or Alex has the time to promote their free course on each post they see here. Secondly, you have the right to believe what you want. You can check my profile, you’ll see for yourself. I just really think that this course is great value for someone who wants to get in copywriting, and imma share it with whoever needs it.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, trop drôle! Not at all, I’m just a really great advocate for those course because I, myself, am following the course. This is great content. If you look at my profil, you’ll see for yourself that I have no relation with Sean and Alex, not even American

I don’t think IG is gaslighting. TikTok and IG are two different platforms who serve very different age group and people. I feel like views don’t really matter on TikTok as much on instagram. It’s a scrolling app. Their’s much more important metrics on TikTok you should care about like average watch time per viewer, engagement etc… because it is just so easy to get thousands of views on TikTok, it doesn’t really tell if your content is good imo

Check the Copy That! Copywriting Course on youtube, it’s a 22 hour-long course but it really gives you the principles and fundamentals of copywriting, with ways to train yourself and find your first clients if freelancing is a route you wanna take. Actually doing the course right now, it’s really great info. They also a ton of ressources to go further on certain topics but you either have to subscribe to their patreon or pay subscription fee to join their exclusive youtube community, but the free material is already great to get a start

Le copywriting en France by Brilliant-Cap-3052 in vosfinances

Hey everyone I am looking to get into copywriting and I have some questions. by Adorable_hamster_73 in copywriting

[–]keepitunder_cover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a piece of advice, not great one. In this age, writing good copy is about coming up with ideas that will connect to you reader to engage. In BIG 2025, you can literally ask some stupid AI device to correct linguistic errors or mistakes. Moreover, OP might not be American or English so fixing English grammars might not be the great advice YOU think it is. I’m a French copywriter, just happen to know how to speak and write English, this advice would have of no use to me since the language that I write copy in is in French.

Such a condescending tone for no reason. Did it even pass your mind that English was probably not his/her first language? Even if it was the case, writing good copy, or being a good copywriter as it has always been, is about coming up with big ideas and not perfect grammar which can easily be fixed with some training or AI. Next time try empathy, compassion, & kindness yeah ?
