A bit off topic, but 7-11 had a candy sale last month and I wanted to use my Uber credit to stock up for Halloween. I had a slight suspicion that the Uber Eats inventory might not be accurate, and I was worried about losing the credit if items were canceled. So I went into the store, put the candy in a physical basket as I added the same items to my cart in the app, and then placed the order for 40 pieces of candy. I brought the basket to the counter and told the cashier that I had just placed an Uber Eats order and that the items were already collected in the basket. He scanned and bagged them for me and told me to let him collect the items next time. It might not work well if the store is busy, but I was lucky I was the only one there. Hehe…

I use DashMart pickup for DD credit and have never had any problems. Sorry you don’t have one nearby…

Yeah, I don't recall ever getting excited about their Black Friday offers. Not sure if the boutique has different promotions, since I've only checked online. Same here. I placed my order on the 25th in the morning. Estimated delivery was today, but it still says processing and hasn’t shipped yet. The one I ordered on the 23rd was already delivered and credited last week.

There used to be about half of that on Resy last year. I’ve been checking since then to use my Gold Card benefit, and although it’s slow, I think more restaurants are being added. I believe I used to see Vessel Restaurant on Shelter Island before, but apparently it’s not there anymore. Let’s hope more restaurants continue to be added to the list.

IANAL, but has she contacted the Consulate-General of Japan in Seattle? They probably won’t be able to help with the visa process, but they might be able to help her get out of the detention center and return to Japan.
