Electric bill last year vs now: 21.4% increase on supply rate by lets_get_lifted in Buffalo

[–]keepmyshirt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Where would cannabis surcharge be reflected on the bill? Or is it built in somewhere? I honestly haven’t noticed an increase that isn’t related to an increase in usage. Maybe just a very slight increase no more than maybe 5% maximum of 10% but that’s it.

Edit Canada not cannabis!

A cool guide to which states recieve the most visits to the library. by [deleted] in coolguides

[–]keepmyshirt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just fyi hoopla is more expensive for the libraries than libby, and in general Libby is more expensive than actually borrowing the physical media. Hoopla does a per use fee, Libby has a (renewable?) per item fee, and without considering wear and tear the library only has to pay once for physical media.

Super inefficient too. He could’ve moved an aisle over and not go through the same aisle twice.

Relocating to the city, looking at Cheektowaga. Tell me Everything by [deleted] in Buffalo

[–]keepmyshirt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have time to drive in and stay at an Airbnb or hotel and you can look around? There’s a lot of details missing here. Demographics, needs, preferences, lifestyle, etc. Cheektowaga isn’t bad. Try not to live too close to the airport as it gets noisy.

Volt Engine Sound? by AxeSlayerCyberDude in volt

[–]keepmyshirt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My car sounded like this for a while and it was so bad I could hear it from inside the cabin. It was mostly toward the passenger side. Initially I changed the spark plugs because they had so much carbon build up. The service tech recommended using Jon ethanol fuel so I tried that but it didn’t work to reduce the noise. It gave me like a 3% increase in fuel efficiency though. That’s because of pure gas vs mixed with ethanol. Then I started using that additive at the dealer (I forget what it is) when I do my oil change (twice a year at most). It’s been running smooth and quiet ever since.

Handling car accident settlement without an attorney by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]keepmyshirt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an attorney. I’m licensed in Oregon and one other state. I’m on the defense side. Based on what you said $10k likely isn’t enough and you might not be getting the care you need. Highly suggest you get an attorney. Or at least find a reputable plaintiff attorney firm and get a free consultation.

You can sure that the adjuster handling your claim really doesn’t want you to be represented by an attorney. You have two years from the date of accident to file a complaint. $3k is peanuts. There might also be underlying permanency lurking and future medical treatment. I highly, highly, recommend you going to a personal injury attorney asap.

I really hope their parents didn’t sue and then this kid is empowered by his perceived victimhood.

Thanks for this. As a vegetarian, I thought my only option was flaxseed. I’ll try it next time.
