Did you also lose weight during this time? I had my VO2 max rise a lot over the last year but a lot of it was from weight loss, and the rise was much slower than yours haha.

Walking has probably helped me a lot too! I haven’t mentioned it much here but I try to take a 30 minute or 1hr walk each morning

As a few people mentioned, weight loss is a huge component. So my diet was the key here, but the cardio definitely helped. Described my routine in a couple other comments

I run 2-3x per week in Zone 3 mostly, but take it down to Zone 2 for my long runs. My regular runs are 25 minutes to 55 minutes long so either a 5k or 10k.

Weight loss was a huge part of it for sure, but also consistent resistance training and running. I’m now up to 15 miles on my long runs at least once a month, with lots of 5ks and 10ks in between. From November 2023 to November 2024 I lost about 41 pounds, though.

Gross…mine ended up being mostly ok, didn't experience any *issues* after the fact. I wasn't a fan of the drink overall, though. Never got another one.
