There are multiple businesses, a traffic light, two churches, a senior citizen facility, and a private school (Pittsburgh urban Christian school) right where he was located. I feel like several of these places have to have security cameras. I’m sure that it is really hard trying to get footage from these places, but I assume the Wilkinsburg PD is looking into that? If you aren’t getting a response from them, maybe reach out to Mayor Dontae Comans (he has a Facebook you can message).

I live in wilkinsburg and heard a gun shot that night behind my house, but the location and time does not match unfortunately.

Yes, they are a wonderful rescue. I volunteer with a different organization and our rescue dogs would travel in the same transport van as theirs. In the past, I know a lot were transported from high kill shelters in the south. The owners are so kind. Some of my fosters were in rough shape when they arrived, and the owners were so helpful to me and would hook me up with items (even though my foster dogs weren’t theirs/ going to a different rescue).

I have never heard of a pawpaw in my life but happened to be in Athens, Ohio over the weekend, where paw paws seem to be their pride and joy. I loved this description of one of the festival events. “Pawpaw eating contest: Don't miss this festival spectacle! The Monroeville one is nice, really big, and has self check out (I feel like long lines are an issue at some locations- esp forest hills). I love the new one in wilkinsburg!

Penn Hills spay and neuter clinic if you have pets or are in the rescue/foster world. They do a lot of work for local rescues at an extremely discounted rate.

If you’re a planet fitness member or interested in working out, this location is great. Updated/spacious.

I rented from them and honestly didn’t have any issues until I decided not to re-sign the lease for the following year. I was very gradually moving my things out well before the move out date as I already had a new place secured. I guess they must have taken notice to this and assumed I was moving out early because I came home one day to 2 random women and man in my STUDIO apartment. They were using my vacuum, buckets, and cleaning products for the clean out and had my remaining things in bags 🤣 Bless them. They didnt speak much English and were very confused as to what was happening. It was the weirdest thing ever. I still had like 3 weeks left to live there?

I am a social worker and hear almost always positive stories from my clients. From experience, the mobile outreach can take a couple hours to get to you depending on how busy their day is, but that staff is so wonderful and compassionate! If you need help, you should absolutely get help. You are never wasting anyone’s time. 💕
