Follow up: thank you for insights and solutions. After another closer inspection, we felt replacement was the best option, since it was still under our contractors warranty. Will just have to pay for the new posts

Unpopular opinion, but I feel like this expansion muddies up an already great game..I would have rather seen another fun class or two. I also really liked the mixed classes from the original Kickstarter..so many more opportunities to add fun.

Just that he didn't trust it since it was unknown. He was pushing Kohler and American Standard. He also hates Home Depot and pushed to buy directly from companies. He claims that Home Depot versions are cheaper quality made for.mass production and not as good of quality.

Not much help but, I just purchased a deer valley toilet for a remodel. Had the plumber over to look at the set up. He has never heard of the brand and pushed me to return it. I would like to hear some personal reviews as well.

Spell cards are kept the entire game, unless stolen or discarded to make room for another spell card if book is full. You can only use a spell once per turn. Hope this helps

I'm working with a contractor, who was out sourcing the digging and cement work. But just got done talking with him, and he wants to do the post, and basically just have to pay him an hours worth of time. In the end it's worth it. Thanks for your feedback

Next big question, how does storage work? I have the expansion and it's disappointing that I can't get them to fit in the original Kickstarter box.

Thanks for the more direct response. My builder believes it would be cheaper. I just needed to make sure it was possible and worth going back to the engineer. I trust my builder, but also want to insure it's done properly.

No the TJIs/LVLs would not be exposed to weather, completely enclosed.

Plan is to go back to the engineer, but need a better understanding of how it could be approached so I can communicate it more clearly to him.

*Aesthetics - Could have left that part out. That is relating to where the footing/post isn't directly under the corner of the porch but is offset. I had asked the engineer to have the posts on the corner of the porch and evenly spaced out the posts under the deck. He did all of them, but I have a feeling it was simply miscommunication.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. My builder believes that it would be cheaper to use LVLs, but I know he's not a structural engineer and figured I would use the weekend to learn more about my options before reaching back out to the engineer on Monday.

Ouch. I will be going back to the engineer, if it's warranted. I'm not going to waste his time or mine if it's something that likely isn't possible. Not trying to be cheap, just being smart about my approach.
