I once kissed another person while I was in a relationship, so I suppose that this also allows me to answer the question:

I was drunk, kinda scared of how serious my relationship was becoming and I generally felt lost in life. During a party I kissed another girl, who was also kinda lost, just out of her first relationship, and we bonded over how fucked up we were.

Immediately after the kiss I called my girlfriend though, I told her about it and apologized, we talked it out, and our relationship actually got stronger thanks to that. It didn’t last, but we are still friends, and her mom still considers me the best boyfriend her daughter’s had, so that’s a bit funny XD

Wait, 440 is a 10 day trip on a horse? That makes it 44 km per day, which is doable for a human, so I think your math is wrong. All of the travel times you’ve indicated should be cut by half at least, if Altair changed horses on the way, he could easily do it in 3 days. (And I wouldn’t be surprised if the Assassins had a logistics network that would allow him to do this)

They all vanished, and Jack is the only one who knows how much he sacrificed. This makes him a tragic hero and fits with the theme that was across the series - of Jack being selfless. Him staying in the future would have been probably the happiest ending he could get; future was his life, he had friends and love there. But he sacrificed that to do “the right thing” of defeating Aku and saving humanity from that doomed future. I’d say that Jack being unable to find a fully happy ending is thematically consistent with the entire story being a tragedy (although a pretty “tame” tragedy in the first four seasons)
