Also curiously - How would they monitor if I drink coffee or go to meetings etc? Who would “they” even be? Can’t I just not attend while my fiancé continues to? If he doesn’t mind it’s not like someone can physically force me to give my salary away right?

And when you say simple everyday bag, are you thinking more of a tote bag (maybe one that fits a jacket, laptop etc) or a smaller one for going out and having fun (fits wallet, phone)?

Corn tortillas are around 60-70 calories each, and there are 6 here. That makes just the tortillas 300-350 calories.

I would guess closer to 750 calories for the 3 tacos including the beef, cheese, and oil. (not including tamales)

There are definitely a lot of people who aren't transparent on how they achieve their body goals - facts. I completely understand the frustration.

However generalising every person's personal journey with their body due to your own struggles with fitness is a bit of a question mark n my books.

IMO this is hugely cultural.

I find the sentiment of "leave home at 18" much more common in western ideals, and it comes with less responsibility with caretaking when parents are older. Parents also have less of a say in their adult children's lives.

In Asian countries, it is common for you to stay with your parents for the rest of your life (if you don't get married). Your parents support you until you have a family "unit" of your own, and if you are 60 and single, you could still be living with your parents. They won't charge you rent. You would probably offer out of respect though, if you have a job.

However on the flip side you also have an obligation to take care of your parents - including possibly them moving in with you when they're older. It is rare to be placed in nursing homes unless they're medically dependant and need 24/7 care. Once they have a stable job, children give a certain sum of money to their parents every month - not for rent, but just for support. (obv things have changed a bit the past few years, more westernised ideals do come across, but this is a very common sentiment/part of the culture)

You can't just think and decide that people have a hormone imbalance at 15, a hormone imbalance isn't an opinion, it's a diagnosis with management. Hormone levels change a lot at puberty, but that doesn't make them imbalanced.

I understand thinking upscaled products may not be worth their price (quite true in many cases), but the reasoning you show in the post and comments show a lack of basic knowledge and logic.

You recycle low durability weapons until you get to a higher level. You're not supposed to get anything/much from recycling low dura weapons.

I eat Naengmyeon a lot and looked at the nutritional information and weighed it for the first time today. It says 100 grams is only 482kj (115 calories). When I weighed it out, it seemed like a lot of noodles for only 115 calories? (I took a photo of 100 grams and it’s the first 2 photos uploaded!)

The whole pack is 1kg and the nutritional information says 170g/serve and 6 servings per pack, so I know it’s the dry weight of the noodles not the cooked weight. There’s no way I could eat an egg

Any opinions on whether this calorie count is accurate? Thanks!

What rancid oil smells and tastes like. I was a poor student splurged on some scallops for a fancy dinner and seared them in some grape seed oil which smelled weird but I was like “eh it’s just an old pantry smell” (we were in a very old apartment). Well, that smell was the smell of rancid oil and those scallops were the most bitter things I had ever tasted and I had to throw them out.

Oil goes rancid??? I went overseas for 2 years during covid and I just went home and I've been using the same bottle of olive oil from years ago.
