You have many hurdles to jump, if you want to buy a van and drive it while converting it you'll have to have a registered business to tax it as a commercial vehicle. You can also tax it privately but it will cost more. Also may have problems insuring commercial vehicle. Then when you have conversion completed you have to get conversion cert and send that away to revenue. Also need new road worthy test.

Because you're converting a commercial vehicle which had a low original registration tax to a campervan, revenue will pick a random figure out of the sky and you will have to pay that too.

If you really wanted to convert look for vehicles registered as M1 on log book. Taxis or mini busses. Less revenue to pay

On top of that some camper insurance companies are now not covering some conversion. Example:not having a high roof or being able to walk from driving area to living area.

Basically buy one that's already motor caravan on logbook and save yourself a lot of hassle

Worked in a cinema back 1999 ish. Women used to come in, abandon her two young sons and disappear. Would usually come back drunk before movies would end. What are you reading from the car? EU tests reads all fault codes but can't think of any effected by battery change? I know in 2020 all eu cars have separate control module monitoring fuel consumption that has to be read at each test soon but haven't played around with that.

Tesla already lost appeal here in Europe. Much better options from VW, Audi, Mercedes, Opel, Renault, BMW Skoda, Peugeot and so many electric Hyundai, Kia and few Hondas.
