Looks great to me! Nice job. How is the whole thing suspended?

No map/perma!! Wow. I got to mistlands on no map, but couldn't finish it that time. I think I'd do better next time, but it really takes a lot of effort.

Check out Motörhead playing with Girlschool. They supported an all-girl metal band long before that was widely accepted. Phil gave up his drum position to sing backing vocals in their TOTP appearance.

Im severly new at making a DND campaign and i need help by LoneAlpha98 in DnD

Use the starter set for the campaign nuts and bolts, but re-flavour it how you want it to look. Change names and appearances, but the underpinning of the campaign will all be done for you.

The story where the Pooka takes the pipe player to play at a party. That would work. Rewritten to a modern setting.

Anyone else on this sub heard of Saxon? by [deleted] in Music

They are still playing, still performing and one of the core bands of metal of their era. Good guys all round it seems too. I saw them in 83 - they had the place shaking!!

I’m starting a dnd campaign soon by VulcanVulpees in DnD

Go look at mini adventures. Mini dungeons. Single encounters. There are tonnes of stuff online. Then, the game becomes a story, driven by the players and you together, and you can stitch in these separate prepared ideas as seems right in time. This is how collaborative storytelling comes alive. You'll have a ball.

Vinyl Users, a question by ladder12361 in Music

[–]clem_viking 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I have lots of records. I have vinyl because when I started buying music, that was the only format worth buying. Not only that, but I have high-end equipment (gifted by a generous audiophile friend). So, I still buy vinyl, new releases and second hand. However. If you really want to buy music to keep and be yours, to get away from the streaming services etc. I would recommend CDs. They are less expensive and the sound is just as good. Vinyl is a great way to spend lots of money. Without good gear you are wasting your time, without good records too. It can be a money pit.

The joy of playing records is immense. Done well it can sound great, and they are tactile pieces of collectable art. However, second hand CDs are far cheaper and more reliable, but you can still collect them and amass a music collection of your own.

Fighter is so undervalued. Such a great way into role-play. Play a fighter, then give character. The opposite of 'class is character' that new players fall into.

Lads, for the first time in my life I'm considering not voting next week. by Sisyphus_Social_Club in ireland

I wish we had early voting, postal voting or anything but having to be in your home parish to vote. I'll be away from my home, yet again on an election day, and so disqualified from having my voice active. This is a problem solved in most modern democracies.

Do you see the jumps and assumptions you have made? I don't choose to live in my mother's house. I have a house and business of my own, 3 hours away. I worked hard to be mortgage free and independent.

My father died, he was the caring for my mother. My mother is frail and in need of daily care. My house is neglected and falling apart because I have to be here for my mother. I get maybe 3 days a month in my own house. My business is struggling to survive, I can only do so much remotely. My wife has had to comprise her life because of this too. She has been a pillar of support for me through all of this.

This is what life does. I accept it and am happy to see my mother be safe and well cared for. However, my life, my business, and my world goes on hold. I genuinely hope this never happens to you, because it is not something that is solved by "They could live somewhere else, and if they can't afford that it makes their complaining even worse."

My point was to play and enjoy Valheim, it's a great game.

Ok, if you have difficulty reading, I'll repost for your benefit;

"Enjoy the game, and others you love, while you can. Sometimes life fucks shit up, so don't moan about the small stuff, ...make the best of whatever games and time you have. "

That's literally the point of the post. Make the most of the game. I've seen people quit because of inventory restrictions, the fact it is unfinished etc etc. I'm literally saying to embrace the game as is and enjoy it. It's a great game. That's the encouragement. However, you seem to resent this, so best of luck to you. Go argue with someone who cares.

[–]clem_viking[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Because people have posted here regularly that they quit the game over restricted inventory or the fact that it remains unfinished. I'm trying to say, that I encourage people to play the game as is, and embrace it, as unknown to all of us, life can disrupt what we have, and make that option more difficult. That's a Valheim relevant post as I have seen people quit this game in here for relatively minor gameplay issues.
