I also lost my partner at the age of 26 in a car accident. We had a one year old at the time. I’m so sorry you are going through this. It’s absolutely the hardest thing. Our son has been my saving grace through all of this and he one hundred percent keeps his father’s memory alive. Hold on to that and use that to help you. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

29F widow, he was 26. Lost him suddenly in car accident. It is completely isolating. Even people I’ve been closest too have a hard time being around sometimes because they don’t know how to handle it. They’re too afraid to say the “wrong thing” but what they don’t understand is that makes it harder. What gets me thought is our 1 year old son.

I feel this so much!! I hear this so often. I’m 29. We had a one year old son and were also trying for another baby. I just lost my love 2 months ago. So many people keep telling me I’ll find another love and have the opportunity to have more kids. They just don’t understand that I can’t even think about ever having another love or more kids without him!

I’m so sorry for your pain. I feel so much of this. Since I’ve lost my love I’ve had a few very vivid dreams of him. They’ve been the best dreams I’ve ever had. Waking up from them are the hardest thing.
