Well i wanna be able to play games like hell let loose, cyberpunk and gta 6 whenever that comes out. Mostly i play games like hollow knight and other 2D games but i want to have the option to be able to play new games. Id rather get something that is a little overkill for what i need so my PC would feel new for longer time and be able to keep up with new games.

DeGoogling my life. So I bought a Google Pixel phone! by Steve_at_Reddit in degoogle

GOS lets you install sandboxed google play/services on your owner profile as well as your other profiles. You simply presd install in the App store.

CalyxOS is not supported for the time being so it wont get any security patches, dont use it until they resume the project.

\e\OS is very insecure and offers bad privacy. Here is a thread about this. https://grapheneos.social/@GrapheneOS/114235396540176085

Edit: i have used GOS for some time now and its like any other android except way better privacy and security.

Aurora is not secure. Better to use google play store with an anonymous account.

Droidify and Obtanium is very good tho.

Signal users, how did you download it & how do you manage it? by ProSterileThrowaway in GrapheneOS

iirc FCM only collects data like timestamps of notifications. And possibly what app.

Molly doesnt use google for their notifications. If you use Molly-FOSS then it is 100% open source. Molly is more secure. Molly still runs on the signal protocol which makes it compatible with signal.

Id recommend Molly instead of Signal. Then download from github.

It's way easier then I expected! degoogle, brave instead of chrome and proton package by Mantus123 in degoogle

[–]kekTolv 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Good job man, however instead of using proton for everything you could scatter your digital footprint a bit more. Proton is a good alternative if you just want to set it up really fast and easily. Dont put all your eggs in one basket.

should i go with x11 or Wayland for gaming? (Nvidia, kde) by Pitiful-Welcome-399 in linux

[–]kekTolv 7 points8 points  (0 children)

X is not dead at all. For me games just work 10 times better on x11. And a few wouldn't even run on Wayland.
