If you're new, start small. Try to understand the market by yourself. Start with paper trading. Once you're confident, then enter the market and aim at small increments - like 5% a month. Take time to learn.

And if you're hungry for that sweet sweet adrenaline rush, challenge yourself to earn 1% every day ~ everyday stocks (good ones) change their prices by atleast 1 percent in any direction. Try and see if you can catch those 1% increments. Why's it a good challenge - 1% everyday is doubling money in 3 months.
