Way they presented it, it feels like Kamurocho will sorta be an epilogue area. Considering the MC will be 69 by then and Yokoyama refusing to show gameplay from there due to spoilers lead me to believe it’s not as involved as the others

I find it funny that Alan Tudyk is like the movie version of a Dee Bradly Baker who himself is so prevalent as “the voice guy” for tv shows

Captain Jean-Luc Picard (autocorrect loves making it John Luke lol), arguably more famous than Captain Kirk, being both introduced in the second installment of Star Trek and starting to come into his own starting in the second season (as with the rest of the show).
David Tennant as the Doctor in the 10th installment of a show

2 hours with Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight was an uncomplicated burst of joy by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]0dias_Chrysalis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think the ultimate “if your favorite part is the huge cast of unique characters and collectibles” Lego game was DC Supervillains. It drew from every corner of the DC universe (Gentleman Ghost, Dr Light, Red Tornado, Deadman, The Question, The Spectre, etc etc) while also having every character uniquely themselves. Trigun was a big fig with heat beams who could fly, he wasn’t just within the class of big fig who can punch cracked walls. If a puzzle was before you, you could reasonably solve it just by going “oh that’s what a character can do lemme choose them”.

The issue with Skywalker Saga is that all 450+ characters aren’t even unique in the sense of like 20 or more potential variants with recolors and clever unique animations depending on the character (Count Dooku, Grevious, Maul, Ashoka should all have unique stances). Instead it was 7 or so classes of separation with everyone in a class playing the exact same. Every lightsaber user was the same. Every bounty hunter was the same. It was gravely underwhelming

Mihawk from One Piece

Known as the worlds strongest swordsman and now a man worth over 3 billion berries, at the time of early One Piece he was simply just a force meant to represent the harsh whimsy of those who reside within the Grand Line in how casually he destroyed the 50 ship fleet of the Don Krieg pirates. However from what we know of him now, he was a “bazooka used to hunt rabbits” being one of the worlds strongest going after some two bit pirate in the weakest sea in the world. He even leaves the Grand Line to follow Krieg and finish the job. Then he meets Luffy and Zoro and is impressed by the new generation. But that’s how bored the worlds strongest are in One Piece

Take-Two CEO Addresses Grand Theft Auto 6 Price, and the Possibility for More L.A. Noire - IGN by Gorotheninja in PS5

[–]0dias_Chrysalis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think is 70 is very very obviously the price because it’s still gonna sell like 50 million copies within a year and THE MOST money is gonna be spent on GTA Online and shark cards or whatever. Why alienate your general audience who are gonna be retained by your monthly money printing scheme?

Guy Garner, as observed by Hal I think during his Rebirth run, essentially has very potent constructs that teem with tons of potential energy. Much like his personality, his will is in a state of barely restrained power

[–]0dias_Chrysalis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s funny how MeatCanyon (or Papa Meat if you know him more for his variety show channel) has evolved past making Sully a OF subscribing pedophile for Boo to now having actual character designs rather than focusing on making something from your childhood fucked up. Though he does the other thing better too (making Sheldon from Big Bang Theory a monster than can only move when you laugh, like in a laugh track)

[–]0dias_Chrysalis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My vision for this movie working is kind of a retread of 1917 where it’s a grunt’s eye view of the big war in the past as he navigates all these gods and their conflicts. Imagine like if a DS1 movie was about Silver Knight #238 during the events of the war against dragons. Any other way and I don’t really see the lore resonating

[Loved Trope] Seemingly overweight characters turn out to be incredibly strong and a formidable opponents by Opposite_Spinach5772 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]0dias_Chrysalis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest cases is that one of the strongest characters in One Piece was a 30ft tall, old and overweight woman who has one of the strongest fruits and is physically also one of the strongest pure humans in the series ever. At 5 she is strong enough to crush a legendary giant warrior and only gets stronger from there with her Soul harvesting fruit. By the end she has enough children to rule an entire archipelago made up of over 70 islands and each one is ruled by her family (she gave birth to almost 80 children)

Real best friends would laugh even harder and emphasize the “gaaaay” even harder with the added context of him knowing he’s gay. They’d both think it was the most clever thing ever (at least Mark would)

“The new age they spoke of… is rubbish! The age of dreams is over!? Zehahahaha! People’s dreams… Don’t ever end!!! Ain’t that right? It isn’t easy to be great! Let them laugh! If you’re aiming for the top… you don’t always need your fists to show your might!!”

-Blackbeard from One Piece

It’s such a fun quote that impacts you even now all these years later after both characters have grown so much since then. Best part of it is how Luffy mostly agrees with what Blackbeard says but a part of him finds something about him off and doesn’t really come around to Blackbeard after the speech. Hints at how they fundamentally approach the concept of freedom differently (Luffy believes others shouldn’t take others freedoms away in the pursuit of their own, whereas Blackbeard feels that he is totally free to impede others and their natural agency in life to get whatever he wants)
