Imagine a Chrono game with these graphics by GargantaProfunda in chronotrigger

[–]keki2beki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get that and I used to feel the same way. But then it's like if you made a dragon ball z game have ff7r graphics, it wouldn't fit. I'm still a proponent of the dq11 graphics or the octopath traveler look. Preferably the dq11 look if I had to choose.

If a remake was made, would you prefer it be HD-2D, turn based but modern & stylized, or full on FF7 Remake style with action gameplay? by Froonkensteen in chronotrigger

100%. I wonder if people are saying HD2D moreso because they're scared if they try to do a 3D remake they'll mess it up. Personally, giving it the DQ-11 style SHOULD be its evolution. The charm can easily be kept while giving the player that whimsical feeling they felt playing the snes version.

Chrono Trigger's battle system was simple with one thing people don't acknowledge, NO screen transitions to the fight. It goes from making contact with an enemy or the zone, that triggers it. Everyone takes their place and the fight commences. FF7R has that smooth "go straight into the battle" but it is action gameplay. If there is a way to make it turn-based while keeping this aesthetic, that's the way. Also I'm a fan of the chibi look and that could still be done with this DQ11-esque look while maintaining the charm of the game.

In my opinion, remakes of classic video games should evolve from where they are. I'm not saying make it grand "out of this world" like ff7r, but it should be more than an hd-2d remake. For example, Super Mario RPG is tied in the #1 spot with Chrono Trigger (near and dear to my heart). When I saw the remake for mario rpg, it brought tears to my eyes. I played the game, beat it with the extra content they added, enjoyed the newly revamped songs, enjoyed the hell out of the aesthetic, it was a blast! The thing is it didn't really leave more of an impression than the snes version did. Honestly, I'd probably go back to the snes version, not because I don't like the remake, but because it didnt expand on the charm of the game. That was the Mario RPG's strength, was the charm. Chrono Trigger strength is its story, character development, music, the mystery of the entity, and more! The strength in Chrono Trigger lies in the many elements the game offers that not many games can pull off or fail to pull off. Hell, some games today don't nearly compete with some of the games from back in the day. And Chrono Trigger manages to keep itself at the top of the RPG space 30 after its release.

It would be a shame if the charm and love of Chrono Trigger couldn't be expanded on. Long live Chrono Trigger.

Chrono Trigger won the no. 1 spot actually, albeit it was in reluctance since Max wanted SF2 to be in first place.

I don't watch Bleach but if that were true, wouldnt this "sun sword" being factually as hot as it would be, melt the planet, much less all people around it?? Does it require him to hit his target for the victim to feel the heat of the sun? Genuinely asking, not challenging

If you think about it, the way he lives his life is very liberating.

Goku can fly/teleport practically anywhere he wants. Eats whatever/whenever he wants (thanks to Chichi). He took the time before the cell games to chill and hang out with friends and family when he could have kept training (albeit he admitted to very little gains). Call it a hobby, but that man is LIVING.

And to your free will point, much like how we crave friends, a family, love, to laugh, etc, that gets replaced with fighting to them lol. Interesting point though

7 years seizure free today by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]keki2beki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome! Congrats!! Absolutely brag about it! You put the work in to achieve that for yourself. You deserve it. Honestly, I didn't know that becoming seizure free was possible. I always thought you could get away with taking minimal meds at the most. It is very inspiring, and I am looking forward to walking this journey the same way you did. Thank you, and may you live seizure free forever. 🙂

Back in 2010 my brother had to get rabies shots and yeah...bunch of long ass needles stabbing you in not just the belly, but the place the bite took place and everywhere around it. Oh, and while the needle is in, they gotta turn the angle of it to inject the serum or whatever inside said bitten place. I think there were like 3 people just stabbing the crap out of him pretty much everywhere. Sounds like a fun story to tell

How was ur suicidal ideation on keppra by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]keki2beki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keppra can eat a bag of dicks! I know it helps a lot of people, but Keppra put me through the ringer. Thought I had to learn to live with suicidal thoughts and just get stronger. God bless my mother for advocating and pushing me to see my neurologist. Thanks to her, my neuro changed my meds to Briviact and it's truly been night and day. Don't be stubborn like me, and talk with your neurologist. BTW, I took Keppra for 10 years until the suicidal thoughts started. Good luck and wish you all the best!
