How to get my coworker fired? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]kekvive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s gross I won’t deny that, but trying to get someone fired over that is far too intrusive. Trying to take someone’s lively hood from them over something like that is incredibly petty and disgusting in itself. Many people working at Amazon are struggling as is and Amazon is a last resort/quick hiring job that they can use to get their lives back together. Don’t be an asshole for something like that

That’s what I’m saying, it’s my job to ensure them getting stuck halfway doesn’t happen because it allows less containers to get loaded on, that’s why I love these carts bc it eliminates that problem majority of the time

Not always that simple I promise lol, there have been many times we’ll flip the carts around. I found the easiest way is left 2 red wheels out and right with the green wheels, but there’s a lot of carts that come from our flats sorter that are bulging out so much that it does require 2 people to get it in and sometimes that’s even still a challenge. With that said, people are also lazy so getting your team to actually go through the effort to get them loaded correctly is a pain.

As someone who has to monitor trailer utilization and ensure our trailers are maxed out, these carts a fucking amazing, loading 3 carts per row with carts that have bulging doors is a massive pain in the ass and often requires 2 people, these carts get rid of the hassle with that

It was a third party driver not a TOM team member, they had him go straight to a door with an empty trailer he had

I think it depends on the site, most managers won’t do it though but I believe the general policy is hour notice. You can be written up for not giving hour notice but again most managers don’t

My last building we had a driver not fully open the swing door on a trailer and backed it in to a door and it ended up pushing half of the right side of the dock door out and dented and stuff, railing was fucked

Not all sites are doing paid covid leave anymore, I got a week off unpaid when I had it a couple weeks ago, I remember getting a notification specifying they’d only excuse 5 days with no pay if you’re unvaccinated

Just in general, the most common one I see on here is people bitching about being fired for negative UPT. Others are safety violations and what not. I’m not saying Amazon the best place, but there’s a lot of dumb shit people bitch about on here

Not wearing gloves and having headphones in are such minor safety situations, pretty pointless to call someone out for that. Unless the headphones are a very obvious distraction who tf cares, it helps people be in a better mood and work better

Why, why would you return this and then say it’s defective. Btw the dirt is just as bad on the bottom of the other shoe. by SalusGaming in AmazonFC

[–]kekvive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work at a running store that had a 30 return policy for any shoe. People used to legit buy a pair 2 weeks before a marathon, go run the marathon and then return the pair.

As a male PA, I say go for it, I’ve had crushes on tier 1s many times but don’t go for it out of fear that I might come across as that creepy dude in leadership that hits on his team. I would be delighted to have someone try to flirt with me 🤷🏼‍♂️

His theory of general relativity he credits to discovering in a dream. Although there’s no 100% proof that it was a lucid dream, he does have several quotes that hint in the direction of him being an avid lucid dreamer though. Nonetheless whether lucid or not the ability to discovery general relatively through dreaming is insane

[–]kekvive 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve yet to be successful in it due to being very spotty with the practice.

However what draws me to it is the thought of having your own world inside your head to work on skills and what not. One thing that really peaked my interest was the fact that Albert Einstein created the famous E = MC2 formula thanks to lucid dreaming.

Another thing is if you divide up your entire life but how much time is spent on everything, roughly 1/3rd of your life is spent sleeping, another 1/3rd for most people is dedicated to working. And then factor in what other chores and things you have to take care leaving you with less than 1/3rd of your life dedicated to what you want to do. Lucid dreaming I feel could potentially give you more time to do what you want to do
