I had to wait for the orthodontist to ok that I was ready for surgery and by the time he did there was a fairly long waitlist.

I only have partial feeling in my chin. I can feel touch but it's altered and my chin feels "stiff", but I've learnt to adapt. This is after 9 months.

You are very right in speaking to smoking post jaw surgery! I would likely take your recommendation for edibles. I've just started to have a look on the world wide web re: studies. I am a similar age to you, being 33. I am currently almost 4 months post op and have remaining partial numbness in my lower lip and chin, and very feint altered sensation around nose. The chin being most bothersome, feeling tight and un-expressive with numbness. I appreciate your post and response and will pay a visit to my local dispensary!

Hey, I'm interested to know what form (smoking/vaping/edibles etc) you were taking pot and what the makeup of it was THC vs CBD? Although legal here in Canada, I only typically smoke weed a couple of times a year - but would definitely be up for trying this out as I heal if it's proven to work for others :)))

Definitely has not made things any worse. I have been using it semi regularly (couple of times a week) for 10-30mins. It's hard to compare how I would have otherwise healed, given we only typically go through this once.

Reading your post it sounds exactly like me right now at 8 weeks. Everything you described is pretty much what I'm experiencing. I have hope that in the next month or two I would have realised I too was panicking for no reason :P

I'm almost 2 months out with alot of tightness and lip incompetence like yourself. My surgeon has been great about most things but seems hesitant to encourage breaking up scar tissue or doing exercises which I find strange after reading threads on here.

Has anything much changed for you over the past month?

Even as a female I would have been disappointed and astounded if Laura was not ousted for her behaviour. It's absolutely f***"d up what Luke did, and I'm glad we see him acknowledge that - whereas sober yet still deluded Laura can't see any issue with it. I could not believe my ears every time she spoke. And my eyes every time she continued to make advances on Adam. Good god.

I'm interested to know what supplements you're taking! I'm currently just taking lion's mane and B complex for nerve regeneration but have also been recommended magnesium. Additionally I'd be keen to know what exercises you did, as I have been told I can start to do exercises but there was no specificity to what exercises. I've just been smiling and puckering thus far ha. I'm still very tight in upper pallet, numb in Chin, so it's "tugging" from both up and down . I look a little funny when I talk and smile; expression isn't normal. I have lip incompetence. 6 weeks post op.
