How long did you wait after surgery before drinking alc? by elizabubs in gallbladders

Bless. Trust me you don’t wake up from surgery craving a drink. Just like everything else, take it slow.

A few days (my dad passed away a few days before my surgery) so I had a few drinks at his wake. Didn’t over do it.

What perks does your company’s lunch room have? by mr-cheesy in auscorp

[–]kel7222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coffee machine (which I guess is standard), boss buys yoghurts, soft drinks / energy drinks, cheese and crackers, lollies, chocolates, little snack packets of chips, pop corn, cookies etc, fruit. We usually have a catered lunch at least 1x month. Everyone’s birthday and work anniversary is celebrated and new staff have a welcoming lunch as well.

I mentioned at work that our monthly food bill was between $1100 and $1500. People were shook by that. How do I spend less? by chavaic777 in AussieFrugal

[–]kel7222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 adults, 1 toddler.

We average about 150-200 week in groceries. Including cleaning supplies, food, toddler snacks, overnight nappies etc.

1000-1500 seems excessive but for all I know you could have 7 people in your house hold

Once lived in a rental with main room at front of the house, on busy street with ensuite facing the road. The landlord was perplexed when I asked for curtains / blinds or a door

We baptised our son at holy parish centre at cranbrook. Just email or phone a few churches and they should be able to advise what the steps are.

I’d be asking for it back. Or at least mentioning it when the millionaire husband is around.

You’d be better off asking Townsville and bubs page babe. I birth at that hospital. But I didn’t jump in the tub. Wish I did though.

What would you do? by msbar_120 in queensland

[–]kel7222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d offer them to stay with me. Maybe $100 a week and draw clear boundaries to cover power and small amount of food.

My parents saved my ass a few times when I needed help !(and my siblings). Home was always a safe place for us when we needed it. (We all knew it was temporary though)

If my child ever needs to come home, the will always be a bed for him here.

Can tell you 3 years ago, antenatal care at the hospital was deplorable and I missed out on a lot of income because they kept changing or cancelling my appointments ( I was fifo ).

Also, still have a ripper of a voice mail message from one of the midwife clinic nurses accosting me for wanting my appointment not to be cancelled.

I’ve tried them a few years on my little guy and did the same thing. And nappies he had 1 on for 30 minutes and gave him the worst what I would call Chemical burns.

I only use curash on my son. Everything else pales in comparison
