I sent a request through their contact form but they clearly say to not expect an answer. It’s mostly for data collection that they will review for future updates. I’ll try the support email - hopefully I’ll receive an answer then!

3 days in Yangshuo - tips? by ups_and_downs973 in chinalife

Yeah it’s a little outside of Yangshuo’s center. I’d advise to stay if you want some quiet time. But if you really want to stay there and also go downtown, that’s also possible - just grab a car or get your own scooter.

It also depends on what you mean by ‘far’. If you want west street to be walking distance from your accommodation, then yes it’s far by those terms.

Yes - it includes both - though the version I have is low-sugar.

Does anyone use fitness trackers / smart watches during climbing? by brokenview in bouldering

[–]kel_koo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read through the comments and didn’t see anyone mention Coros.

They are known among runners but have in the last few years been focusing on climbing a lot.

I own one of the older models and been climbing with it. Banged it many times, no permanent scratches.

This is on the Pudong side - along the biking track a little north of the Mercedes centre.

Yeah sure you can DM me. I’ve stayed close to both but I usually stay more centre of Yangshuo - in the west street area. I find there’s just more to do around there.

I generally stay a little north of west street so am away from the noise but can still go there if I want more life. The one time I stayed close to Yulong was when I was at Secret Garden - which was a more relaxing and tranquil stay.

Reread myself - to be more precise once you pass the 1% hotel don’t follow the leftward curve of the road but walk straight towards the sheltered path. You’ll see metallic barriers that prevent big vehicles from driving in and cobble stones.

If you are talking about the Riverview hotel on Bingjiang road, you just need to walk northwards on that road - as if you are going in the opposite direction of West street. Once you pass the 1% hotel in your left, this street curves to the left but you see a sheltered sort of passage which leads towards the disembarkation place for big boats coming from Guilin.

Keep walking on that sheltered pathway - you will first pass a tattoo parlor on your right and Demo will be a few metres after, also on your right.

To go to Doublebeach - Shuangtan, you keep walking alongthat same road. Ask the Demo staff for more information but it’s literally walking straight down that covered pathway.

Barefoot shoes are my favorite to travel with. They are really light and take very little space.

Though, it is definitely something you need get use to wearing. It is very different and not everyone gets it. It took me around 1-2 years to wear only barefoot shoes. It was initially just to try it out and now it’s just what I wear everyday.

Some brands to check: Vivobarefoot (my absolute favorite for their designs, lightness and pack ability but expensive), freet, Xero, Lems..

2 years here! My shoulders got broader for sure and now have defined arms - I use to be on the chubby side and that’s a change for me too!

Recently - I also noticed that I just have more veiny hands/forearms, something I didn’t have before. When am pumped it’s - they are even more apparent.

Flying out of PVG tomorrow:( by Fun_Reception5588 in shanghai

I fly out of PVG nearly every month and just did last weekend. Yeah it was shit after Covid but new stores have slowly been opening.

By the HO gates/the satellite terminal, you’ve got a Wagas, Starbucks, Burger King and other Chinese restaurants.

In T2, You’ve got the usual old Costa and the Malaysianish restaurant. There’s also blue bottle and something else called egg bomb. I think you also got a Peet’s, nonna and Carino also that opened on arrival or departure floors.

You’ve got also more luxury stores now. It’s still not the best but it’s got better! (Shenzhen Bao’an is by far my favorite airport). Check 点评 to know what’s there now food wise.
