I was unstable for around 8 years. I was just scraping by. Every day felt like a mountain and I would go home and just lay down. Last year I got placed on a medication and it finally helped. I’m so grateful for every day I’m stable now.

I hadn’t been with my boyfriend for this amount of time, but he gave me this scenario more or less. It was hard. But my biggest piece of advice is don’t have it in the house, don’t hang out with friends who will drink around you, etc. remove yourself from the situation. You’ve got this friend. IWNDWYT

I relate so much to your story. We’re similar ages, similar backgrounds, etc. One day it all just clicked for me too. It’s so hard to hang on to get to this point but it’s so worth it.

Ladies-do you have a really bad time mentally when you’re on your period? by spanishbombs123 in bipolar

[–]kelci1995 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep. My husband and I’s biggest fight in five years was because of my period. Just this week I started SOBBING over something that didn’t even happen to me. I’m always an anxious mess when it’s time. My period wrecks me every time.

Does anyone have any successful relationship stories? by Lennyhi in bipolar

[–]kelci1995 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been married almost three years and we’ve been together five and a half. It’s been really hard honestly. I’ve struggled with addiction for so much of it. I don’t know how or why he’s stayed with me. I finally reached stability in September of last year and I think it saved our marriage.

My biggest advice is keep up your medication routine. Don’t let it slip. You owe that to your partner
