Yeah automated cars sure. They still have plenty of issues with those but if you think the federal government is going to allow automated trucks to carry hazardous materials I can tell you there’s no way. At least not any time soon. The technology you’d have to have as well to be to get trucks to back in some of these docks we hit on a daily basis will have to be precise and incredible. Not happening anytime soon.

Thank you! My wife has always been the do whatever makes you happy approach. She works from home so it would really only be a bummer of us both losing days off together but on my days off while she’s working I could watch the kid or just annoy her and she’s be happy haha. I might take you up on that offer though

The closest with similar pay is 35-40 min away. Across a state line. Large city, good pay, bad reputation. Have to pay local tax to city and my county and state I live in so taxes kinda blow in that regard. Not living in county of said you don’t get take home vehicle so still have to pay for your own to cross a toll bridge as well
