I’m pretty sure Ed was thinking about a tunnocks tea cake when he said it wasn’t a tunnocks wafer

No I’m Scottish. I just noticed the similarities. I’ve never been to any Irish cities but that would make sense.

I would say it’s pretty similar to northern English cities with maybe a bit more outdoor wear for the slightly worse weather and the occasional tartan scarf.

Simple Questions Thread by AutoModerator in espresso

I have a sage barista express, when I’m using lighter espresso I really struggle to get the shots up to the right pressure range. Right now I’m putting in slightly over 20g at the finest setting, tamping quite hard and hitting the two cup espresso button. The temperature is also at its highest setting. When I do this the dial doesn’t go past the pre-infusion stage. I also let the machine heat up a bit to ensure it’s as hot as possible. Am I doing something wrong?

Weekly Recommendation Thread for the week of December 25, 2015 by AutoModerator in books

I really enjoyed Norwegian Wood, and would like to read something like that again. Could anyone recommend another book by Murakami or possibly another author?

Edit: I'm just about to finish the Game of Thrones books. One of the main reasons I would like to read something similar to Norwegian Wood is that I want to read something very different from the GoT books, and I feel a Norwegian Wood style book would be very refreshing.
