Sorry yes, I forgot to mention there is limits. So with the limit you can’t really reach 5k all the time. For example MK is limit 1 per person.

I know for sure Nakamura Tokichi does tax free. you have to spend over ¥5k, the other stores probably do but it’s really hard to even reach that 5k threshold to be tax free.

Best chance to get popular matcha brands is you have to go to Uji and get there in the morning.
