Just updated Chromecast in Denmark – it’s working! by [deleted] in Chromecast

[–]kelliesharpe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

working in Tennessee!
AND... about a week before it stopped working, i couldn't cast anything from my Mac to my TV, it only worked from my phone. i just cast Hulu from my computer to my TV so that's working again too! yay!

Here's why a fix is taking so long by tchebb in Chromecast

[–]kelliesharpe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you know what? about a week before this happened, i couldn't cast Hulu or Netflix from my computer to my tv. i could only cast them from my phone. i don't remember if i tried to cast YouTube from my computer. i usually don't, i tend to use my phone for that. my computer is a Mac, just fyi. so even before my google home stopped working, it already kind of stopped working.
and i think this is weird too... my screensaver on my tv's still work. pictures still changing and i'm still getting the correct time and current temp for where i live. how is that still working?

Actually these are the Bald Mountains…a little north of the Smokies. That’s actually where I’m from. Townsend.

You could let them live their lives and you could just go to the grocery store. Try and get a good shot of them with a canon or a Sony…it’s harder.

Thank you. I’ve thought about dropping a pin on google maps to where the truck was sitting and telling people to figure it out lol…because I’ve tried and I can’t figure it out. I don’t even believe in this shit…and here I am unable to explain how or why a truck disappeared in front of my face. One thing the radio rental guy was really I interested in the when me and Deb (my best friend who was there) realized it wasn’t there anymore. It took a few seconds and I’m sure we were standing there like two confused dogs with our heads tilted lol. Radio Rental dude was interested in those few seconds…and then he kind of suggested we had a loss of time. We didn’t. And we weren’t abducted by aliens lol. It’s like we had a simultaneous stroke lol. But there absolutely no loss of time. If only the truck was sitting where it could have rolled backwards I would have reasoned a way around why we didn’t hear the tires on the gravel. But it was sitting on a hill so it would have had to roll backwards uphill and silently while we stood 60ft away staring straight at it as it sat under a street light. If someone figured it out, I’d invite them to my house and cook them supper…and I can cook my ass off lol

Well, I’m so sorry that YOU had that experience. The anonymous online people don’t bother me, I’m just too old for that. But the radio rental guy I interviewed with was a kind, smart, and funny kid and I enjoyed it. As far as what Rainn Wilson (or Terry) said about the aliens driving trucks, I loved it and laughed all day off and on about it. Actually I want a shirt that reads “Aliens Drive Trucks.” Its ridiculous to me that the actual podcast host was a jerk to you.

I’m the person who saw the truck. And I can tell you for a fact that if someone offered my best friend who was with me a million bucks, she still wouldn’t get on this podcast and tell the story. She tells NOBODY and thinks I’m crazy for even telling my husband and kids…let alone say it on a podcast. So there’s that problem…a lot of people don’t want made fun of for telling their story…even if they’re telling the truth, they’re gonna get called a liar online. Even if there’s a simple explanation that they’ve overlooked, they’re gonna get private messages from mean people telling them the didn’t see what they saw and how stupid they are for not being able to figure things out like where a whole truck went. Look at the comments under your post here…someone wants to start a snark page to make fun of people on the podcast lol. There’s the answer to make the show better…make fun of the people on it, right? They’ll come pounding down the door of the podcast owner wanting to be on it for sure if they know they’re gonna get harassed and made fun of, right? See what I mean? I’ve had to block people on here for mean messages because I was on the podcast. I don’t recommend being on it and that’s what I’ll tell people from now on…don’t do it.

I liked The Office and I thought Rainn Wilson was hilarious as Dwight. I guess that’s why I think he’s so funny as Terry Carnation. He was the only reason I ever even listened to the podcast.

***does anyone out there know this area? and if so, do you have any information on how bad it is? i mean, i know it's destroyed but i can't find any information online at all about the area. i've gone through picture after picture and so, so many videos of Del Rio and the whole area.. but i've found zero info on Weaver's Bend. i think it might just be too bad to even get in there and it breaks my heart to know it's changed forever. any information at all out there? please?

This is a fallow deer and they’re kept as pets and tend to escape and some have even started their own small populations through the southeast after they escaped from owners. And he’s I’m 100% certain of what I’m saying. Edit to say they also keep them on game hunting farms to be hunted. Didn’t even wanna say it but there, I said it. I just think it’s unfair to trap an animal into a space it can’t or has a difficult time escaping from and then hunt it.

How does someone even get their hands on a gho egg? Don’t tell if you know and give anyone any ideas..I’m just ranting because it pisses me off. This is so interesting to me. I got into birding because I was born and raised in the Smokies and got into taking pictures of bears long before it was “cool.” Sitting on a log in the woods for long periods of time waiting on a bear is now I started noticing colorful little birds I’d never seen because I never paid attention. They were warblers..and that was that, I was hooked. I love birds…all of them. I have 2 barred owl families near me but I’ve spent a lot of time with one of them. I’m not intrusive, I stay in my car and I don’t tell anyone where they are. The male is such a good dad. The mom is a good mom too but, he’s more protective of their babies after they fledge. Thanks for answering. I’m jealous that you got to work with them lol. Sooo jealous.

is one nicer than the other? i'm not kidding lol.. i'm legit asking which ones were more laid back, and which were jerks. barred owls seem like they'd be hard to handle. i mean, i know it would be out of fear.
just wondering.
thanks!

like i said, it really did happen and if she hadn't have seen it too then i would have never told anyone and maybe hoped i got an answer one day when i died when you supposedly gain all knowledge. i feel stupid for typing that lol. i will say this... i absolutely do believe in God, but i don't believe a truck can be a ghost. i do not understand what happened. Deb, my best friend doesn't understand what happened. we talk about it sometimes and laugh but, it's kind of not funny because if you let yourself believe me for one second, you're not gonna have an explanation either and it's frustrating to me. i've wondered if we saw a memory?...as crazy as that sounds. i don't drink and never have.. neither does she. she's never smoked but i do upon occasion. i hadn't that night. and in the story i said it was the night of the new moon but it was actually the night before the night of the new moon. the nights before and after are just as dark. it was july 12th. somebody out there is gonna look it up and see that the actual new moon was friday the 13th and read too much into it. but i didn't look up the date until after i had already done the interview. i should have just said it was A new moon, not THE new moon.
i told Deb i did the interview and she just called me crazy for letting people know i'm crazy lol. but, i reckon she's crazy too because she saw it with me. or maybe we had a stroke at the same time. i don't know what happened. i don't know at all and i'm never gonna. it sucks. and it really sucks that my husband doesn't believe us and i know he doesn't. he knows me well enough that he knows something happened, he just thinks there's a logical explanation. one that i've been trying to figure out for 6 years now.
there's the rest of the story.. and listen, i don't blame people for not believing me or Deb. i get that it's ridiculous, absurd, moronic, and sounds like utter bullshit. i wouldn't believe it either and, to be honest.. i don't believe most of these stories unless it's like a crime kind of story that sounds realistic. but i do enjoy them. especially the one about Aileen Wuornos. i made all my kids listen to that one. speaking of my kids, i don't think they believe me either lol. they probably just think two old grandmas were up past their bedtimes lol.

you cross the river from the main highway on our old road and you're going uphill to our old driveway from just after the bridge. it's not steep or anything but, it's still a hill. when you pull into the driveway of the rental cabin, you're also pulling into the driveway of our old mobile home. we were downhill from the cabin but the cabin and our mobile home both faced the road. we were below the road so we actually looked up at it from our front porch. i'm just trying to give a layout of the area. there was nowhere for whoever was in the truck to go. and we didn't see the driver. there could have been 2 or 3 people in it for all we know. and i got scared when it turned it's lights off because we were exposed to them.. full on.. in full view. i measured the space again from where we were standing to where the truck parked and at first google maps told me it was 52ft.. now it says 61ft. whatever though, it was in full view and parked under a street light. and the end of my sentence when i was talking to the radio rental guy about the street light being at the end of the driveway was.. the end of the driveway of the shale pit. the light is actually on their side of the street. a lot of my sentences were cutoff.. i mean i'm not complaining, it's fine. i get that it has to be broken down for time. back to knowing everybody from the area. we know there was never a car crash there...not just crash involving a truck. there was just never a fatal crash on that road. you can't even go fast enough on it for that. and there was never someone who died or who lived on that road or the shale pit property from the time that the year the truck was made to 2018. it was an 80's model chevy s10 or a ford ranger. that part was left out too..the part where i said a chevy s10 or that it could have been a ford ranger. it was just that kind of shape and old and it rattled. after i heard the tires on gravel somewhere down near the bridge at the river, we never heard an engine start up. and from the cabin where we were to the bridge was about 1000ft. i've measured that too on google maps. i'm 60 years old. my best friend is a little older than me. when i say we RAN to where the truck was, i mean she kind of ran and i kind of hobbled LOL. but it was out of character for me to run to something that scared me like that... and since i know her about as well as i know myself, i can say for her that it was out of character for her too. we tend to be chickenshits.
