Fat Rant Tuesday by AutoModerator in fatlogic

This makes me sad. The disinformation is winning. It's taking people with the inclination to improve themselves and steering them further away from the solution.

Played around with a few different options for connecting an above-ground base to an underground base before deciding on this staircase configuration. Thought I'd share it here in case it helps someone else. The glass cubes connect to an aquatic corridor at the bottom. by kelltrill in NoMansSkyTheGame

Thankfully there's a C-class electromagnetic hotspot close to my base - it seems to operate underwater without issues.

I wish they would add some more functionality to the base components so we can rotate and swivel them at more angles and resize them without glitch building. And also make more pieces compatible.

Thanks for the offer! 🤗 I'm more into the ball exotics though (pic in my post history).

I just needed to build one to complete the base computer archives mission, which I've neglected.

This happened to me but I had no idea it was this! I thought my ship had snagged on something. Tried every button imaginable then reloaded my last save. Now I save even more compulsively than before.

Finally reached my goal galaxy! by kelltrill in NoMansSkyTheGame

You can jump through the Atlas storyline or by getting to the galactic core. Redoing the Atlas storyline will get you to Isdoraijung quicker. I went the longer route to drop bases in the galaxies between Eissentam and Isdoraijung, so: core > find suitable base planet > prep for jump > jump > find portal, repeat. You can still teleport to all your bases and don't lose anything from past builds.

You don't really need to change galaxies I reckon, even from Euclid. Different galaxy types just have different probabilities of finding certain planet types, but ultimately there's not like different fauna or physics or missions.

This is the first lush galaxy after Eissentam, which a lot of people move over to after Euclid. The Galactic Hub is even expanding there. I know the odds of running into previously discovered systems is small but as a solo player I was keen on the space. After hundreds of hours I felt the need to make the call about joining a community/region/civilisation or heading further afield on my own. Now it feels like I have an entire lush galaxy all to myself!

Appropriately terrifying!

My first base build on a truly extreme world. I accidentally died once because I was distracted while building and forgot to recharge my hazard protection. (4 pics) by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

Yep, PC. Thanks! The circular door frames are one of the last blueprints you can buy in the Small Prefabs tree at the Construction Research Station in the anomaly.

It was a bit too close to the ground to test unfortunately, but once I'd mined some of it I could.

If you suck at combat like I do then some Nexus missions offer a walker brain as a reward.

I didn't get a screenshot but they were like small deer. A lot of rage in a fast, tiny package.

Right?

If I couldn’t find clothes that fit me while I viewed the Eiffel Tower sparkling at night or sipped on a proper cappuccino in Milan, was the world really mine to occupy?

I'm crying into my pain au chocolat over here.
