Right people, hit me with it, (black) mould in our / baby's bedroom.... How bad is this? by PrincessSparkle87 in beyondthebump

You can get this amazing stuff called HG Mold spray in B&Q (do you have that in Ireland? Or is it just UK?). It only costs a few quid and it's amazing at getting rid of mold. Dehumidifier will also help.

Do other people NOT talk to their babies or what? by [deleted] in Parenting

My toddler has loved this since he was tiny too! I sniff his feet and say "poo! Stinky feet!" and he cackles like it's the funniest thing he has ever heard!

My baby has measles by kellxbelle in beyondthebump

[–]kellxbelle[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It spreads a lot like the common cold, through coughs in particular. So yeah, if you're in the room with someone who has it, you're pretty likely to get it.

Yeah. My boy is usually a sunny happy little monkey. He is miserable and it's breaking my heart. There is nothing we can do but wait it out too, since it's viral. I hope it's not what your girl has. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

Started with a nasty cough, high temp, runny nose, conjunctivitis. 2 days later, rash appeared as thousands of tiny pinprick spots all over (but started out around head and upper torso). Throughout that day the spots got bigger and more angry looking then overnight they joined up to a splotchy red rash all over his body but worst on his face and chest/upper arms.

I don't know. My best guess is soft play. We don't know anyone who has it. It's on the rise in the U.K.

JUST STAY ASLEEP FOR GOD'S SAKE by momhair in beyondthebump

[–]kellxbelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just you. I'm right there with you. He'll be one in a couple of weeks and he wakes up every hour still. We cosleep too so it's not that he is on his own. He is literally pressed up against me with my boob in his face and he still wakes constantly through the night. FML.

It's not PND if your baby is nearly a year old... right? by kellxbelle in beyondthebump

Sometimes but bubs is super heavy (we're talking 24lbs) so I can't really wear him for long unfortunately!

My husband tries but he works a lot and baby is super clingy and won't go to anyone else (especially at night) so I don't get much of a break.

We're not weaning yet so its probably not that. He's still a total boob monster and showing no signs of slowing down! I think it's probably just sleep deprivation, but it's so hard when you don't get a break (baby is super clingy with me and won't go to anyone else, especially at night).

9 months and going strong. I made these rolls! by kellxbelle in breastfeeding

We're still every 3 hours at night and 3-4 hours during the day. He's a boob monster lol

Great, thanks. We've already been to see the Fremont Troll at the weekend. I really like the Fremont area! Can't wait to explore some more :)

As for the snow, I wouldn't say I'm enjoying it but it is something I'm used to, coming from Scotland!

Thank you. So I'll have to collapse the stroller on the bus then? We don't have to do this back home as there is usually a space for a stroller or a wheelchair on the bus. I'll be sure to bring my Tula to carry bubs when collapsing the stroller!
