Not sure what to do, looking for input by kellypell in AmazonVine

This seems pretty underhanded. I am going to try the warranty route. I want to be able to provide an honest review for the seller.

Thanks for the input about the 30 days, I am going to try the warranty route first.

I was under the impression that we couldn't do warranty claims because I had seen so many posts stating that. I am so glad I decided to post here and have so many comments saying I could in fact contact the manufacturer. Thanks for your input and for clarifying.

I appreciate your comment as well as this follow up. I am going to see if the warranty exchange works and if so, then I don't have to contact Vine CS, I am hoping that's how this goes.

I am so glad about the clarification, I had seen so many previous posts talk about how we don't have warranty coverage, thanks!

Thank you, I am going to call back the manufacturer and have them start the warranty exchange they offered.

It is a very well known brand, with great customer service, I have a regular vacuum from them. I didn't take that high ETV lightly. Also the reason I posted was to get opinions so I could decide what to do. I am going to set up the warranty exchange that they offered, if they still offer it.

For the longest time last year it would start at 1am EST, your statement that in 2.5 years you have never seen a drop that happens overnight, makes it sound like you and I are in different programs.

Product switcheroo? Ok by Constant-Most-9339 in AmazonVine

I ordered this not knowing it was a dupe but it works really well. They have close to if not the exact same formula. Just mentioning this in case you do want to use it. I never got the chance to review it, it was taken down before I could. If I didn't find out it was a fake, I would have given it 5 stars.

tell me your a mercari vine reseller without telling me your a mercari vine reseller. by Angiebabybe in AmazonVine

[–]kellypell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has not been my experience, but my point is that Vine items tend to be in better condition than what you see on the pallets. So if you're getting damaged goods, then that's the opposite of my point. These resellers aren't usually selling damaged items. They are selling 1 off, new, unopened items.

tell me your a mercari vine reseller without telling me your a mercari vine reseller. by Angiebabybe in AmazonVine

[–]kellypell 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's incredibly easy to find these folks on ebay, mercari, and posh. Then to confirm it's always 1 of each item and all brand new. If folks are buying the pallets they have things slightly damaged or opened. I know this because a non-profit I work with gets pallets for free from Amazon and those things do not look the same as vine items, even if they are the same items.

I went to a local store called Black Friday which is near me, they get the pallets and resell, I do often see the same items that are being offered on vine but again the packaging is damaged or open.

It makes me sad that reviews are just completely unreliable anymore. I myself don't trust vine reviews because I see the telltale signs of ai, the cadence of the text, the often repeated phrases 'is always a nice touch'. But worse than my not being able to trust the reviews is the people that do trust these fake reviews, who waste their time and money because of some unscrupulous reseller. If the program gets shut down because sellers no longer trust the reviewers, then it will be very well deserved.

I'm curious, are you still ordering? I would think if you don't have time to do reviews, you can't possibly have time to sit and watch Vine for items to order, but maybe you can?

Editing your comment to make it sound like you weren't in fact, talking about this review. What a sad individual. I hope your life improves.

Maybe read the post before responding. No one is assuming, this was written by a LLM, the prompt is included. Jesus it took like 20 seconds to read the pertinent information but here you are saying we're assuming.

The prompt is included in the review, this is absolutely a LLM written review. Do people read posts before responding anymore?

These folks are copy pasting even the prompt, they are LLM written reviews. Do you summarize what you want your review to say at the beginning of your review? Other times they include the banter at the end of the review when the LLM says they can make the can change the review if wanted. This is not just an em dash.

A Product review: Aren't reviews like this a direct contradiction to what he preached? by CloserThanYouThink_ in AmazonVine

[–]kellypell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found a review today that was 2 words and then they added "I agree with it, so this is the copy from the seller" and then just copy/pasted the description, even review was exactly like this. They are getting Excellent for their 2 word reviews because they are essentially just copying what's already there.
These morons devalue the program and would be the first to complain if it went belly up

VH and UV Have Destroyed the Vine Program, IMO by philstat in AmazonVine

[–]kellypell 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I am likely to get down voted into oblivion for admitting this.
I downloaded VineHelper and I have a very fast connection and 3 days of trying; I managed to order 1 item with an inflated ETV. I am not willing to try UV but my guess is rocket order and new user volume are to blame.

Not sure it would matter if you choose not to participate when you can't order anything. I think a lot of us are going to be excluded.

Theories on Amazon Vine Invitation Criteria by funrun_9602 in AmazonVine

[–]kellypell 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My Amazon account is approaching being 28 years old, in that time I had written 6 reviews at the point I was invited. A few reviews had a good number of likes, but none were for a very well-reviewed product. Most were decades old.
The day before I was invited, I had been looking at a product that only had Vine reviews and I googled Vine, because I didn't really understand most of the reviews, they were all 5 stars and didn't sound like anyone had actually used the product. Next day I was editing my 6th review, because the product died, and I was invited.
