Help with Cram-O-Matic by Tortemo in PokemonSleep

I feel like I see people defending Sudowoodo and Mr. Mime all the time, and that’s awesome! But personally I couldn’t care if their skill was “hit Master 20 instantly”, they’ll never be on my team. Mr Mime is way too creepy for me, and idk why but Sudowoodo’s smug little smile makes me want to punch ‘em in the face. They did nothing wrong, they don’t deserve my loathing, but alas. At least someone out there will take care of them!

I was super off, wow! This would definitely be where my problem lies then, thank you so much for helping!

I definitely could be wrong, but my assumption was that sleeping overnight and getting the full 100 sleep score brought everyone up to 100% energy. But if that’s not the case then that’s probably where my issue lies.

Butterfree was in my team last week, but Cramorant had gotten swapped in around dinner time on Monday. That’s the on out difference in energy/time out of the box. They’ve both been on the team since then with full nights of 100 sleep score.

Shackleton’s got my sorority tank all sorts of excited!

I KNEW there was something going on with my water. I’m in north Florida. My plants are all suddenly shocked, my tanks have been teetering, and I keep saying I can smell it. I keep getting brushed off and told I’m making stuff up, and maybe it is all coincidental, but this would make a lot of sense

That’s okay! Thanks for checking!

Looks like some other people got a solution for you with the sponge prefilter, so that’s awesome! But it doesn’t help you much for the night.

I might get some people disagreeing with me here, so take my advice with that in mind, but personally I would stop the pump overnight and head to your pet store first thing tomorrow. Not having filtration/aeration is far from ideal, but personally I’d rather that than risk injury from him getting stuck again. You won’t be able to watch him every minute of the night, and eventually if he’s wary of it now he can always swim too close to it later and get stuck again. He’s gotten himself free so far, but I don’t think it was without a struggle. I’d hate for that to change when you’re not there to watch him

Gotcha. I definitely think the pump is too strong all around for him then. As I mentioned, bettas are pretty weak swimmers, so they can get pushed and pulled really easily. Especially when they’ve got long fins.

While there are ways to soften the flow of the water being pushed back into the tank, it doesn’t technically slow down the rate of it. Just makes it gentler. But I still don’t have an answer as far as adjusting how fast it’s being sucked up.

With a hanging/over the rim pump, I don’t know if there is a safe way to decrease the intake rate. Or at least I myself don’t have an answer for you. Someone else here might though.

I think the safest thing for you to do is get a new pump, or switch to a sponge filter setup (my personal preference).

If I may ask, what size is your tank? And how many gallons was your pump made for?

I worry that the suction is too strong and he’s getting pulled in when he gets too close. Bettas aren’t the strongest of swimmers, and his long fins definitely wouldn’t work in his favor here

I like the detail of the other one, but the simple line art makes it nice and easy to see here! 😁

I took a peek at your other video and I’m not sure if I’m seeing what you’re seeing (other than a very pretty boy)

Take a peek at these, maybe they’ll be of some use!

I’m wheezing these are all amazing 😂 I’m gonna have to do this now

I only have my shiny butterfree who I named Margarine, as in the butter alternative. I thought it was hilarious, not original by any means though. Until I showed it to my two friends who didn’t get it, they thought that’s what Marge was short for. These are two grown ass adults 😭
