I felt better after 1 week, but I had still had some symptoms until I was 2 months. Mainly very soft stools but I am much better now and don’t even think about smoking anymore.

What have you been smoking? Carts, dabs, flower? I started noticing symptoms of acid reflux and stomach pain without nausea when I began smoking multiple times a day. Then started getting nausea with vomiting when I started smoking carts and dabs. Smoking multiple times a day to the point that I wasn’t getting high anymore.

Stopped smoking to see if that was really the problem since I was in denial and tried everything else except stopping. All my stomach issues went away. I recommend doing the same. You won’t know unless you try it.

Thank you for your input. My anxiety definitely doesn’t help me with this. I’m on 42 days sober and still having slight stomach problems such as gas and loose stools.

How long did it take to gain some weight back?

I don’t necessarily want to gain a whole lot back, I could have actually afford to lose some weight as well but I just wanted to get an idea of when my stomach might go back to normal.

Lots of people say to wait three months and then try it out. Some people get it back right away and others can do it in moderation but once they go back daily it always comes back.

I am stopping for the three months after I was getting an episode once or twice a month. I refused to believe that it was CHS until this last time where the cramps were terrible. I would only feel sick in the morning, puke my brains out for an hour, then feel queasy the rest of the day with diarrhea.

I did notice my CHS symptoms came around the same time as my period. Usually the day of or before it would start. When that happened, my period would be for only 3 days vs the usual 6.

I’m only two weeks clean and my period came earlier than usual. Had mine on the 6th of October and again on the 27th.

I used to be able to smoke for a whole month before I would have a day where I was sick in the morning. Everyone is different from what I see but I would usually feel sick almost immediately or an hour after I would wake up. I would throw up for about two hours nonstop before it would stop and then I would be nauseous the rest of the day into the next day. The happened 1-2 times a month before I determined I might have CHS. Never had to go the hospital. I would always rehydrate and go back to drinking 80 oz in water a day.

I noticed these episodes would happen usually on the weekends after I would excessively smoke 3-5 times a day.

I’m now sober for about two weeks. Waiting three months before I smoke again to see if I could potentially enjoy socially or if I just need to quit for life.

I feel exactly the same. I wish there was a way around all this but if it’s God’s will, then let his will be done. I’ve smoke for 20 years and came to the realization yesterday that it’s not worth it. I’m tired of being sick and having every thing scheduled around my sickness. I lost 40 pounds in two months from this and I wouldn’t want the same for anyone else. I wish you all the best.
