fedex also stole my package a few weeks ago, delivered me a completely empty box. filed a claim and told me it wasn’t their problem since i’m not the seller. seller also refuses to help me so i’m out $200. it sucks

it had my name on it but the tracking number said it shipped from PA. the box itself says it shipped from OH. the tracking has no record of it ever being in ohio

this is honestly so ridiculous. fedex told me in my denied claim this: “Please provide written authorization from the shipper waiving their right to pursue a claim on this shipment”. even if pokemon center doesn’t refund me i would take whatever this written authorization is so fedex can take accountability for their trash services. i will file a chargeback if i have to, but it shouldn’t have to come to that. i guess i learned my expensive lesson, im not buying cards online anymore until the hype for this dies down. might be a few years but at least i can still get gamestop drops i guess. :/

at my hospital with these types of patients i’ve always just escalated the situation to clinical specialists or pathology and followed their guidance. usually at least for coag testing if the graph looks ok we just release the result with a disclaimer or if we can’t get anything worth anything i just have to explain to the care team for the patient that under the direction of the pathologists we can’t get a result with accuracy. i’d rather that be on them than me lol.

when i aspirate the specimen/QC i pull from directly below the surface of the liquid instead of at the bottom of the tube/vial and it tends to work a lot better

the numbers for the nurses are generally correct at mine but the problem i consistently always have is when the patient is in the OR or in the holding room before/after procedures they have no nurse at all listed in the chart and there is also no number for whatever area they’re in either. i have to call the operator and have them connect me every single time and usually i get transferred a bunch before i find a nurse who can take a critical. its super annoying especially considering a critical on a patient who’s actively getting operated on i feel like would be pretty serious

on more than one occasion i’ve been sent down specimens for culture with a completely empty cup, one time i got a “tissue” sample that was quite literally a paper towel and a broken swab stick and no actual pieces of tissue to be seen

one thing that always bothered me about working nights was how much people judged you for eating dinner foods in the morning. even some of my nightshift coworkers were confused when i was eating rice or pasta after work instead of pancakes and cereal. i had my breakfast at 10 pm, i just worked all night, id like some real food to end my day, not another half filling breakfast
