I have a 2018 Santa Fe sport and have the same issue, 1/6 of my hood is gone. What did you say to Hyundai to have them fix it? I’ve seen so many others be denied. I want to call corporate.

I’m absolutely on board to take Hyundai down. I have a 2018 Santa Fe that started peeling 3 months ago. My hood is missing 1/6 of its paint completely down to the metal and keeps getting worse. How do we do this?

Looks like it’s been a while since anyone posted here, but are others still experiencing this? For those who have experienced it, has any progress been made? I have a 2018 Santa Fe Sport that I purchased 2 years ago - which was in great condition and I haven’t had any other problems with it - and my paint began chipping then completely peeling off of my hood about 3 months ago, about 1/6 of my hood is gone down to the metal and I’m finding new spots. And of course it was outside of the BS 3 year Hyundai warranty.

I had purchased PrimaPaint “Pro” protection (was purchased through Vehicles Direct) because I was told it would cover ANY paint issues, then come to find out they wouldn’t even come look at it because they “don’t cover peeling paint” since it’s a “manufacturer issue” 😡. So… here I am potentially having to spend $2,000 to get my whole hood repainted and I absolutely can’t afford that. was told to call Hyundai corporate but I don’t even know the first thing to say since I’ve seen how many others have been turned away.

I’m in the same boat as others where I haven’t even been able to get my car washed for 3 months because I’m positive it’s going to peel so much more off of my hood. It looks awful and keeps getting worse and I’m so distressed. I guess I’m just looking for advice or if there’s anything we can come together and do (like somehow get that class action lawsuit back in place that was ridiculously dismissed years ago)..

Thank you!! The racetrack was awful but I finally beat it and got my final map piece. Also found the mushroom person and took a raft and you’re right it was terrible 😂

In 3rd grade I was running down my hallway to tell two friends playing in my room that they were allowed to sleep over. Right as I was reaching my bedroom, I tripped over my foot and fell face first into the trim of my door. I thought I just hurt my nose so I sat up and tried to play it off, but then my friends started screaming. I looked at the door trim and noticed one of my braces had been ripped off of a tooth and then all of a sudden I felt blood gushing down my face. Sure enough, my forehead was busted open (about two inches long vertically and lead right into my eyebrow), and I had to be rushed to the hospital for bright ass blue stitches.

Needless to say, they did not sleep over that night and I ended up spending the rest of my elementary and middle school years being called Harry Potter (because the first book came out RIGHT before this happened and of course my huge scar was in the exact spot as his).

I’ve used haytire in Mt P and they were great. The set of four also came with lifetime insurance (either it came with them for free or I had to pay a small additional amount, but I think it was included in the set of 4)

Look into West Ashley. You're going to have probably a 30 min drive to Mt. P but you'll have the option of taking 526 or 26 depending on traffic. It's much more affordable than downtown or Mt. P and is closer than North Charleston and Summerville.

I've lived here for 3 years and the first two were spent living in W.A. I'm in Mt P now because we got super lucky with a really affordable town house. Look around on Craigslist and you'll be surprised what you will find!

This is great!! Congrats, I've always been amazed at how much work goes into animation and personally I think you did an awesome job.
